
Had such a horrible experience at Glamor Nails, located on 440 W Union ave, south bound brook NJ. I’ve been coming here for over four years and regrettably my favorite stylist Jenny left the establishment about a year ago. Ever since Jenny left No other stylist has been able to give me a decent set of nails.
Finally came back a week ago, Tony did a removal, and new set. Which looked great, the shape was wonderful and he was very sweet. However the nails were completely flat with no arch (apex) making the nails frail. After two days a nail split and a day after that another had cracked.
I called for a correction, and requested a stylist that has done my sister a few days prior, Kim. When I arrived a completely different person said she would be helping me. After I explained the situation she tried to tell me I would have to wait for Tony (who was with another client) to fix my nails. I explained to her that I had requested someone else. She huffed and said okay. She began doing my nails and halfway through states she would be charging me for the “refill”
I disputed that the correction was already no charge, as I called prior to rebook. She argued a bit and called her boss. Bee boss agreed that she wouldn’t charge me but next time to be careful because someone else would definitely charge me for a correction.
The part that triggered me the MoST was that although I am Hispanic, I understood a great portion of what she said to Tony in their native language. She was rude and complaining about me as a customer, pointing to me and talking poorly about me because I had requested a different stylist.
I am so displeased with the rudeness of the staff to resolve an issue that had nothing to do with me, if not poor quality work, mind you I paid $77 for my gel nails so anyone would be upset two days later having two broken nails !! She was so upset about the refill she completely rushed and did a sloppy job .. never giving these guys the time of day ever again. Unless you enjoy being talked about right to your face I suggest you spend your money where they practice good customer service. They charge 3% of your total service as an additional fee if you use a debit card which they don’t mention until AFTER you already swipe.
Don’t judge a client on what they look like, some of us studied different languages.

While sitting in the chair she kept tryna upsale with gel polish and getting my nails done etc .. my birthday is at the end of this month and again I had high attentions on returning and bring some friends along to bring them more clientele well I’m glad I didn’t prior to getting a pedicure.I finally gave in and got my nails done with coffin shape and white polish .the lady who did my nails sat at the end close to the pedicure station she held no conversation and had an attitude because I didn’t want gel polish! I had a bad experience with another salon getting gel polish on my skin and burning me anyway while finishing the shaping she asked if I could pay before polish I said sure but while actually examining I watched 5 other women of Caucasian background pay after their polish ! That definitely rubbed me the wrong way as a state board employee that was very distasteful I asked to speak to the owner nowhere to be found and got an excuse because I got regular polish I had to pay if I got gel I could pay after ! Like really the foolery smh ! Needless to say I won’t be back I feel like I wasted $65 here when you pay that much money for basic necessities you should feel good about yourself and absolutely should make people feel like they want to come back. I had an appt with Trish, the nail tech who was recommended to me, in the past so yesterday, with all the snow we got, I called to make sure they were still going to be open. I mentioned Trish's name twice and explained how I had an appointment with her later that day. I called to try to see if I could get an earlier appointment (if there were any cancellation, etc). They said I could not make any earlier appt and that my time was 6pm. When I arrived for my appointment, I come to find out, Trish is not even there! She was not in at all the day. Not once did they mention this on the phone when I specifically asked about MY APPT WITH TRISH. So now I am waiting almost 20 minutes until I am even able to be seen by anyone. When I do get someone to finally do my nails they put me in with someone else who clearly had no experience what so ever. It was very hard to explain to her what I wanted with my nails due to the fact that she did not speak any English.
