STAFF CAME INTO OUR ROOM WITHOUT KNOCKING THE DOOR!!! Me and my husband stayed here on our wedding night and the service was awful. Staff is very rude.
My mom called to make the reservation and she was told on the phone that they would provide wine, room decor, that breakfast was included and that since we were checkin in around 1 am we could do a late check out at 4.
We got there and checked in around 2 am sunday. There wasn't any decor or wine at the room but we didn't mind at all, we didn't make a big deal out of it. Around 9 we went to have breakfast and I was told our room didn't include any breakfast. I spoke with the girl that was in the front desk and she said my mom must have called the call center and not their location directly (which seemed so weird because she checked and its the number they have on google). At this point it was sketchy but everything was ok, we ignored it. Around 12:30 we get a call saying that we had to check out at that time or we needed to pay more to check out at 4, so we decide to pay more just to get over with it. Around 2 pm SOMEONE CAME STRAIGHT INTO OUR ROOM WITHOUT EVEN KNOCKING THE DOOR. It was an inroom privacy violation.
We called front desk inmidately and they said the were gonna pass me to the manager and trasnferred the call. We waited for about 5 min and no one picked the called, so I called the front desk back and they told me the manager was gonna call me (which was very unprofessional since like 5 min back they told me that the were gonna transfer the call, they kept changing what they said).
Around 4 we go downstairs to check out, I told the frontdesk the manager never end up calling and that I was very upset in general to what they respond with giving me a card with the managers phone number and tell me to call her. I ask front desk why did they told me before that the manager was gonna call and now told me to call her, I didnt get any response from any of the girls working that day. They both avoid me and didn’t even said sorry for what happened to us. They didn’t care to provide a response or look at me at all while I was talking.
Days go by and I don’t get any update or hear back from them, so I call the manager and, oh surprise, she said there was nothing she could do and she was very rude. By the time we talked it was Wednesday already and I expressed that I felt upset that after what happened no one called me back to at least apologize beacuse it wasnt something minor, someone walked into our room while I was undressed, which is a very uncomfortable situation and a huge violation of our and specially my privacy. When the manager finally got back to me, she replied by stating she had just gotten back that day and she rudely replied with that she doesn’t work around my schedule, because I was very upset on how long they took to reply to me. Customer service at this hotel needs a huge...
Read moreChecked in on Sunday night and commode was leaking causing it to flush every 30 minutes; called front desk and they said it would be fixed. 7:30 AM while walking to breakfast stopped by front desk to be sure they had work order; assured me they did. I explained the issue again; it is a common problem that is an easy fix. Back to my room Monday night and same problem; opened back of commode and could not detect any repair. Called front desk; extremely nice and offered to move me...I told them that was too much trouble for me; just be sure to have it fixed. 7:30 AM Tuesday morning stopped by front desk to be sure thy had work order; receptionist told me it had been fixed and I told her, politely, that it had not. This is where it got bad; she said she personally gave the work order on Monday to maintenance and it had been fixed, wanted to argue with me? I politely told her it was still not fixed, explained to her what needed to be done, asked her to please have it fixed. Came in 5:30 PM Tuesday night and immediately detected the commode leaking; called front desk and this clerk told me the manager had ordered all new parts and it was fixed; of course it was not. I turned the supply line off so that it would not waste water all night. Wednesday morning while checking out told receptionist about it; she said she had already called manager and he asked her to go check on it! I told her fine because I had left the room with the water running freely. So; from Sunday night until I left Wednesday morning this place could not fix a simply leaky commode gasket; and a couple of staff had an attitude toward me about it. Bottom line; I am a Hilton Honors member and travel all 50 states frequently staying at their properties because they are typically very good. BUT; there is a problem at this one, a big problem, and I would not recommend this...
Read moreThe room was surprisingly bigger than some other Hiltons we've stayed at. The attempt at room darkening blinds are appreciated but a bit of a miss as we usually have to make a pillow fortress and hang a blanket to block light from getting in at sunrise (or even from the parking lot). The pool area and gym are pretty small and could use some updating. Breakfast one day I had a $10 omelet and was charged $1.88 for one piece of toast (in the words of ESPN - c'mon man!). ||By now you are wondering why such a great review? The staff. Friendly, professional, and so very helpful. Each morning we were greeted with a smile and everyone was so very welcoming. They each take pride in their work. In this case we have to single out Shataisha & Brianna at the front desk. It was a long stay (6 days) and they helped make our stay a delight. Also at breakfast Sarah & Iris served with both charm and alacrity so we could enjoy the meal, and their service, and move on with our day (and no, neither of them was the toast charge bandit). In the evening Steve who tended bar was fun to chat with, especially after such a long day. At the bar the prices are quite reasonable.||To sum up. A good solid place to stay with great people - fix those first few negatives noted earlier on this place it could be 6 stars. Definitely recommend Hilton Garden Inn Bridgewater -...
