Bowling Green City Park — Attraction in Bowling Green

I lived adjacent to this park for years, and it was a haven and a gem to me. When my sons were little, they would play on the playground, and now they enjoy the skate park. I love the swings, which allow a perfect dance of sunlight through the leaves of the tall trees as you soar, and we all love to hang around the water park. This feels a bit like the town squares or "village greens" of olde- the city has effectively created a picturesque community space beloved by all ages. Lots of neighborhood folks frequent the park, and I've run into friends and neighbors there plenty of times. It's a delightful atmosphere, full of amenities and beautifully designed... a true...

I am very impressed with these facilities given this is a public park. The park is always friendly and clean, parking is plentiful and easy, the pool is surprisingly nice (it has a lazy river), it has a skatepark and there is a lot of space. I also hosted an event at the new Veteran's memorial building on the park and it was perfect. It is new, clean and up to date. I held a very basic event, but there was a projector that was easy to use, the facility was clean and new, large ice machine and kitchen to use, you can serve alcohol, there were bathrooms with toiletries, AC was working, lighting was adjustable, easy parking. Couldn't ask...

My first time to the park. I am very happy with the place and will certainly be back. The reason I left a star off is there is construction going on, which is great, but there were ruts and piles of dirt and construction related trash outside the taped off areas. More to let the park know for liability reasons. Also the bathrooms were still closed and my 3 year old happened to have an accident. (Said she could hold it 😁) Completely my fault but it is April and has been above freezing 2 weeks. Good time...
