Smiling Mama — Attraction in Bowling Green

Best Thai food around here, even better than ones I had in Nashville. I highly recommend coming here for authentic food if you have time to spare. There's only one person working, a older lady, who I assume is the cook, and sometimes I think her son or daughter come help, so just know you might need to wait a bit but the food is worth it, 10/10. I only had to wait like 10minutes or so both times I went though so it wasn't that long of a wait, and I love that food is cooked super fresh. Can't wait to come back again. The dandan noodles is my favorite, I like getting it Hot spiciness level, not the Asian Hot as that is too spicy for me but the Hot level is just perfect. Next favorite I like the glass noodle. There's a huge parking lot beside it and an outdoor seating area.

I have been here several times after my initial visit and each time is pleasant experience with great food. I love interacting with the cook lady every time I come here to order because she seems to genuinely love her business...

First time visit today & was blown away by how excellent it was! Cashier was super friendly & helpful explaining their spice levels. By the way, mild is perfect if you want full flavor with a little kick. My order of Pad Thai with Chicken was freshly prepared in 10 mins and I brought it home since it was raining. The smell it gave off in my car was amazing, so I knew it would be good. As soon as I got home, I opened the container and the steam coming off the food was still heavy, but I immediately dove in. In short, this was arguably the best Pad Thai I’ve ever had. Everything was cooked perfectly, the flavors and textures were spot on. The portion size for the price was also incredible, weighing in a little over 2 lbs according to my kitchen scale. Overall, I’m ecstatic that Smiling Mama exists here in BG and would recommend you go there immediately if you’re craving...

If you haven't been to Smiling Mama, you are missing out on a hidden gem in BG. Portions are generous, staff are polite, and the food is delicious. Happened upon it on accident; saw it had good reviews and gave it a try. After at least a dozen trips, I can say quality is consistent and it's a favorite. Great that you can choose your spice level. Plenty of options but not an overly complicated menu. Serving is enough to enjoy half and save the other half for lunch the next day. Price is reasonable, especially given the portions. I don't think I could find takeout at the same price point nearby that is freshly cooked and includes vegetables let alone one so incredibly delicious....
