My bridal party surprised me with a class here as part of my bachelorette weekend, and I had the best time. Mike was awesome - super friendly and knowledgeable, and made us all feel comfortable right away even though none of us had any pottery experience whatsoever. He gave us all the information we needed to get started, and then helped us with some creative choices along the way. Read moreI have been to a pottery workshop before and i left with no fulfillment. HOWEVER, Lovelight was an absolute joy. I worked with Mike who was extremely patient and understanding of what its like to be a new potter and was aware of the misconceptions and pre-notions new potters have. I also love how he emphasized connection of your body to the clay, so breath work, force, positioning, etc. His teaching model was I do, we do, you do which was an extremely effective way for me to learn. Mike was a great instructor and was able to get the whole class of beginners to feel comfortable making things right away.
