6/30/2017: Is not a groomed path, like other posts state, can be a little muddy, but not too bad. You will most likely get your feet a little wet, but not sopping wet, unless u want too. Wear decent shoes that can be cleaned, Flip flop type shoes are just asking for a sprained ankle. Hiking stick is very helpful, but definitely NOT mandatory. This would be a great eagle scout/girl scout project, improve and make the path more easily accessible. Parking area is currently in area where there is construction, but u can still park there. Waterfall is small, the joy is not really the waterfall, it's the beauty/tranquility of the creek. A little further up from the very small falls (depends on how much water is in the creek), the rocks r bigger and flatter, a great place to go wading and sit and relax. There r no deep areas in any part of the creek that I could see. It's a short round trip hike. Plan at least 45 minutes to an hour though, to make sure u don't feel rushed. A hidden gem, so close to the "city"! Is great for all ages, I went with my 10 and 12y/o, we played for about 2 hours and we loved it:) .....additional edit, apparently we didn't go far enough up the trail. We came upon big rocks on the trail, so we thought trail ended. I was told by others if u keep going you'll eventually get to larger falls. We'll have to try again on a future visit, something to...

Read moreWe hiked the Waterfall Trail in late March and really enjoyed it. There was plenty of parking at the trailhead, which made for an easy start. The trail is definitely rugged and very rocky—not at all stroller-friendly. If you’re bringing kids, make sure they’re comfortable on uneven terrain. It's a fun challenge for more adventurous hikers. Along the way, we spotted a couple of small snakes and lizards, which just added to the feeling of being out in nature. Nothing dangerous, just part of the environment. We passed several small waterfalls, each offering a nice scenic moment, and the final waterfall at the end of the trail was beautiful—peaceful and worth the hike. I can only imagine how much more dramatic it must look after heavy rain or in peak season. All in all, it's a solid nature trail—great for a light adventure, photography, and getting off the beaten path. I’m giving it 4 stars mainly because it’s not very accessible for all hikers, but it’s definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area and love...
