The dirt road to the trail head is steep and about 6 miles. Once on the trail, it's an easy hike mostly down hill and level. Some great waterfalls over the bluff for a dry December. When you get to Hawksbill Crag you won't be disappointed with the amazing views. Took us about 2.5 hours to hike to the crag and back about 2.8 miles round trip. We made alot of stops along the way to explore though. Allow at least two hours for this adventure. Early morning or late evening will get you the best pictures here. The hike back to the trail head has a couple of short but steep inclines. Doable if you are in moderate physical shape. Kids should be able to handle the hike well. CAUTION - cliffs with deep drop offs along the unprotected bluff trail.

Don’t visit if there have been recent rains! Loved the birds singing as you hiked. Suggest you not bring grandma on this one due to the rocky and unstable trail. I loved not seeing any trash on the ground. Spoiler alert!! Waterfall has a pump to ensure water would be there. There were a couple spots hard to cross the creek area due to slick rocks or balancing on a fallen log. Be prepared to be looking more where you are stepping than actually taking in the views. We suggest stop and take in the scenery. Warning you may hear vehicle’s nearby as you are close to the highway areas. There is a very small designated parking area at the trail entrance. We will come back when we are visiting Branson again. Be safe and don’t trip!

Urban-Side Creek Exploration 🥾🌱 Positioned off the main road, near apartments and a resort, you can still feel connected to (and somewhat lost in) the woods. Hiking alone feels safe. Dogs welcome. Great trail for kiddos. For anyone with back, knee, or ankle issues, the most difficult part of the hike is the trailhead, and possibly crossing the creek when the water is up. It might be muddy! You’ll find a small water runoff about 0.25 miles in, keep going if you want to see the waterfall, which is at the half mile mark. Take your hiking stick, or any stick, to clear spider webs. I forgot mine and had to use my face, getting webs in my eyelashes for the first time. This was a great early morning exploration experience. Enjoy!

6/30/2017: Is not a groomed path, like other posts state, can be a little muddy, but not too bad. You will most likely get your feet a little wet, but not sopping wet, unless u want too. Wear decent shoes that can be cleaned, Flip flop type shoes are just asking for a sprained ankle. Hiking stick is very helpful, but definitely NOT mandatory. This would be a great eagle scout/girl scout project, improve and make the path more easily accessible. Parking area is currently in area where there is construction, but u can still park there. Waterfall is small, the joy is not really the waterfall, it's the beauty/tranquility of the creek. A little further up from the very small falls (depends on how much water is in the creek), the rocks r bigger and flatter, a great place to go wading and sit and relax. There r no deep areas in any part of the creek that I could see. It's a short round trip hike. Plan at least 45 minutes to an hour though, to make sure u don't feel rushed. A hidden gem, so close to the "city"! Is great for all ages, I went with my 10 and 12y/o, we played for about 2 hours and we loved it:) .....additional edit, apparently we didn't go far enough up the trail. We came upon big rocks on the trail, so we thought trail ended. I was told by others if u keep going you'll eventually get to larger falls. We'll have to try again on a future visit, something to...

The Branson Waterfall Trail Head offers a pleasant and accessible outdoor experience, particularly for those staying near the Westgate Branson Woods Resort. Here's a summary of common points found in reviews: Scenic and Convenient: The trail provides a beautiful natural escape within the Branson area. Its proximity to the Westgate Branson Woods Resort makes it very convenient for guests. Terrain and Conditions: The trail is generally considered relatively easy, but it does involve crossing a creek multiple times. Expect potentially muddy and wet conditions, especially after rainfall. Appropriate footwear is recommended. The trail is a natural surface, so there are rocks, and tree knobs that may be encountered. Features: The highlight of the trail is the waterfall itself, a small but picturesque cascade. The trail follows a tributary of Roark Creek, offering scenic views along the way. Things to consider: The trail is pet friendly. There are some areas that would make the trail difficult for people with accessibility issues. Be prepared for possible wet and muddy conditions. There are limited parking options. Overall, the Branson Waterfall Trail Head is a worthwhile destination for those seeking a short, scenic hike in the...

We hiked the Waterfall Trail in late March and really enjoyed it. There was plenty of parking at the trailhead, which made for an easy start. The trail is definitely rugged and very rocky—not at all stroller-friendly. If you’re bringing kids, make sure they’re comfortable on uneven terrain. It's a fun challenge for more adventurous hikers. Along the way, we spotted a couple of small snakes and lizards, which just added to the feeling of being out in nature. Nothing dangerous, just part of the environment. We passed several small waterfalls, each offering a nice scenic moment, and the final waterfall at the end of the trail was beautiful—peaceful and worth the hike. I can only imagine how much more dramatic it must look after heavy rain or in peak season. All in all, it's a solid nature trail—great for a light adventure, photography, and getting off the beaten path. I’m giving it 4 stars mainly because it’s not very accessible for all hikers, but it’s definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area and love...
