A&W Restaurant — Restaurant in Branson

I want to start this off with the fact that it was my first impression of the restaurant, and I was super excited to come here. We’re on vacation from texas and this was one of our first food spots considering I heard all about it growing up.

We get here and the entire staff is rude including the manager. We order our food and the lady at the register obviously didn’t want to answer the simple questions we had. We get our food and my burger was cold, cheese curds hot HOWEVER I pulled a blue hair/string out of the first one I picked up. Husbands chicken tenders were cold, fries were hot HOWEVER SAME THING HAPPENED. He had gotten half way through the fries, but into one and pulled a blue hair/string out of it.

At this point I’m mad, and I’m the one who never complains. I go up to the register and ask for a refund on which the older gentleman who was the manager asked “so do you want just a refund for the burger and fries?” I’m the worst possible tone ever. I simply said yes...

This A&W is in the outlet malls in Branson, Missouri. They are in the corner of the strip mall right next to the restrooms. The dining area is open (coronavirus) and sign said mask on the door. I did not have a mask on and was not apprehended at the door. All employees had masks on but no patrons.

My boys got their first ice cream floats! The smallest size was quite LARGE in my opinion. Prices were like other A&W's so it's nice they didn't jack the prices just because they are in Branson.

Employees were friendly and nice to chat with. They had a busy weekend with Memorial Day but only a few booths of patrons when we visited (late Monday afternoon). Ice Cream was good (they do not carry A&W Cream Soda, only other pop varieties and Root Beer on tap!)

One star lost due to the muddy/wet floor outside the drink area. Otherwise everything seemed well...

Stopped in after doing a bit of shopping in the Tanger to get some quick food. My husband got 5 chicken strips and a drink and I got 10 corn nuggets with a drink. He said his chicken strips were "ok" my nuggets could have used a few more minutes cooking. The lady that took our order was kind of rude and snappy. I was going to get root beer from the tap but it was awful I had to pour it out. Most of the drinks on the soda machine tasted like they had no carbonation and the counter was quite sticky. Seriously thought what kind of A&M's restaurant has bad root beer? Our total was $27 even and for the amount of stuff we got it should have been a lot less you can go to zaxbys or slim chickens and get a whole meal with 6 large strips for the same price you get for only 5 small strips here.
