My Nephew and his beautiful Bride united here October 30th. The wedding and the reception took place at this lovely facility. The catering staff and facility crew were very accommodating and pleasurable. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the Coordinator Misty Gamble. For such an important event as a Wedding, you want to work with someone who is warm, communicative, responsive, and who has a positive flow of energy. Instead, we were met with a rude, dismissive, and indignant Coordinator. For example, we notice some of the chair covers provided by the facility were dirty, others had holes and tears in them. We mentioned our findings to Misty and her comment was "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR”! We were shocked and appalled that this was her response. I don't care if someone paid a penny, No One should want their son and daughter to be represented with linens in the condition as these. We found her reply to be very disrespectful and dismissive but that pretty much set the stage for subsequent encounters. For instance, during the reception as the couple were doing their first dance, I notice all the lights were still up. I ran out and asked if she could dim the lights- to create a more romantic atmosphere-her reply, was NO, the photographer and Videographer needed the lights up. My reply back, they have professional equipment and should be able to adjust to the lighting. She replied again, they asked me not to adjust the lighting. About furious now, I asked the photographer if it was ok to dim the lights, his reply, it was ok for him, but the video guy may need it, but you can dim the back lights and keep the front lights on to kinda give a spotlight effect. I returned to her with this request, and she was very indifferent of the situation stating they are almost done now anyway and asked me to "just go have a seat"- then replied, "I was not her customer." What she failed to realize every guest in the facility was her customer and should have been treated as such. The audacity to have this attitude working in a service environment and what a poor representation and dis-service to this facility. And lastly, as the night was ending, some of the guests from the wedding were invited to the event in the next ballroom. My niece unaware they were invited, said- they are coming from that party. Once Misty heard her say this, she angrily rushed over to them and said, "Listen to me- did you all go in there? I'm going to lose every piece of "F**king money they gave me, I’m going to have to give it back” Once my niece found out her cousins were actually invited by the mother of the birthday girl, she went to Misty to tell her. As she was explaining, Misty pulled out her phone and said the birthday girl called her and said there were faces in her party she did not recognize. However, my niece watched Misty search her calls for the client, dial the client number so it appeared at the TOP of her call list as if she just received a call from the client to validate her claim. My niece's reply to Misty was "Your client didn't just call you- why are you lying, I just stood here and watched you call her - I saw everything you just did." So consequently, Misty’s unprofessionalism yielded unprofessionalism.” I would not recommend working with Misty for any event at this facility until she revisits Customer Service 101. Again, the catering and facility staff were very easy and pleasurable to work with so yes, I would recommend the facility -...

Read moreI've had the privilege of DJ'ing many events over the years at the Venue, and it is truly one of my favorites! The Wayne family and their staff have always been gracious and accommodating, and their positive energy always lends itself to the overall success of the events there.
The in-house audio system for the Venue's Wayne Auditorium is one of the best of any venue that I have worked. With most other venues, I will almost always insist bringing my own speakers to ensure the best quality of sound for my clients. However, with the Wayne Auditorium, there is absolutely no need. Between the massive subs underneath the stage to the impressive array speakers suspended from above, it has everything you would need to rock any type of party!
Thank you Jon and Mike for allowing myself and SE Events to be a small part of some amazing events at the Venue....
