Village at La Floresta — Attraction in Brea

A nice little plaza with a Whole Paycheck supermarket in the center. It's close to home and convenient for me. With the exception of JFat and Capital Noodle, the other food places here are either overhyped or very expensive for what you get. I hear the cold brew at Renew is one of the best though. Definitely a hipster and yoga mom's dream plaza. The electric charging stations seem to always be full - I'm guessing the residents that live nearby park their cars there to charge. There are also a lot of snobs that frequent this plaza which make it not as enjoyable to be at. Parking can be an issue sometimes and it's really hard to see your blind spots if you drive a small car because of all the soccer mom SUV's...

it's a nice little strip mall, although kinda limited, mostly because of the size of the area. as of jan '18, they have like 4 restaurants (pretty decent selection considering), a bar, barbershop, salons, coffee place, a couple of boutique clothing stores and workout places, even a charles schwab. theres a whole foods as well (has its own eat-in area inside). there's some outdoor seating areas with tables. the large one has a pergola and a fireplace, a fountain and a turfed flat area. parking might be a little iffy during busy times as the parking lot is kinda small. We've been here only twice since they opened not too long ago. Both times we had a wonderful lunch. The service has been great both times. The menu is extensive! Something for everyone's palate. We shared their corn chowder. Very tasty with a hint of spice. We also split their ample beef sandwich that cones with well executed French fries. We finished our meal with the lemon dessert and a mocha latte. Nice way to finish our meal. We want to return for their weekend brunch. Looks delightful. Excellent service on both occasions.
