The beach is beautiful but I didn’t like the fact that one of the beaches where we were at didn’t have a lifeguard on duty so we had to walk to the next beach to swim which made it very crowded. They put up a banner to separate the swimming and no-swimming zone. They could’ve have put a banner that says no swimming in this area or something for people to know instead of whistleblowing people who tries to swim the no-swimming zone which is annoying. Also, the lifeguard needs to ask politely if the dog we have with us is a service dog or not. We had a service dog with us and he just went to us and told us “No dogs allowed”. Googled “free beach” and Brigantine Beach was closet with best reviews. only 15 min drive from hotel. beautiful beach, clean, safe, and free entry. parked on side of the road like everyone else. parked and beach was only 30 ft away. loved the bring your own and vibe environment. glad I had my large beach towel, wine, water shoes, and my KeKe! we had a great time, Seafood Shack nearby had the best, fresh fried seafood. definitely will visit this gorgeous...

I suggest staying on the beach’s southern end around 40th Street South, as it is wider, although it requires a little bit more walking. The beach is narrower around 10th Street North, but is closer to the street so there is less of a walk. There are lifeguards on duty at the beach as well as limited facilities.
