This will be a very long review.... My daughter and I went to game stop at this location today for a warranty on her docking station of a switch bundle we purchased here in March 2025. We came in and Avery told us they couldn't warranty just a docking station and we would need to bring the whole bundle back.
First this is the stupidest policy ever, I paid for a warranty and now needed to trade it all in to get that warranty. So I asked Avery if they could guarantee that no data would be effected or I wouldn't have them work on trading it in. Avery told me they were sure that there would be no issue accomplishing this. So I trusted them, 2 hours later after our information was supposed to be safe and able to be transferred over. They were finally ready to warranty it out. I was not made aware that trading one component would void my 1 year warranty and would need to pay for another what a money grab. Had I known that I would've paid for a docking station 2 hours prior and left.
Now we are at their mercy and they go to trade it out, at this point the one they planned on trading it out with wouldn't even turn on, so they were going to have me walk out with junk had I not refused to leave till it showed it at least trying to charge. After another 45 minutes Avery went to the back and brought out another device bundle charged and proceeded to change the SD card to the new device and deleting the information on it. When I asked why there was no data Avery looked at my daughter and said well I guess I deleted your data, what a heartless comment to make to a 9-year old who just wanted a new docking station.
So we left me pissed off and my 9-year old heart broken. I called game stop corporate line and got someone who barely spoke English with her family screaming in the background. I asked what corporate would do to try and make it right and she told me they would email me after with what was decided on my complaint.
I did some research and in a last ditch effort went back with the new switch and tried to transfer the digital card for the games, which I now know did absolutely no good. After getting back home from this trip I noticed the controlled for the game to work with the docking station was not in the bundle and had to make another trip back to get what I should've already had. 4 hours later back home with everything I should've had finally.
Long and short of this review I know have a heart broken 9-year old due to Avery the game stop employee's incompetence and lack of knowledge. I have paid for a warranty that was absolutely worthless compared to the heart broken kid. I would've gladly paid for a docking station with the information provided if accurately portrayed.
Avery is an absolute disaster and should be fired from this location. Corporate should call me and try to make this right but I can almost bet that won't happen. If Avery is there when you go turn around and go to a different location if you need anything technical. If Corporate reaches out I'll...

I had the over head sony headphones that just plug in through USB only (no additional cords to controller headset jack or the TV) and I have a turtle Beach px21 (you have to use the controller port or wire it to the tv audio out and adjust the audio output setting every time you turn on the ps4 to get it to play all audio). so my Sony one broke and I wanted a new headset. I specifically asked for a headset that was just a simple USB cord and that's it, I said no crazy wiring, just plug into the ps4 USB and go. I asked what they recommend. the sales person handed me a px24 by turtle Beach. I said cool.. I get home and open the box and it requires the wiring that I specifically said I don't want... so I had it open already and decided to try it... my controller was dead so I plugged in my controller to the ps4 to charge and hooked up the headset. the cords are insanely short... so short that if you want to use the supplied cables, you are sitting 5' max from your ps4. luckily I have USB cord extentions laying around, so I added it to give me 10'. when I joined a friend's party, they asked who is running a vacuum cleaner by their headset... it was feedback from charging my controller... so I unplugged the charging cable and the noise stopped... so now I can't charge my controller while using the headset... then everyone was complaining I was extremely quiet... so I maxed out the mic volume in the ps4 settings, and they still said I was quiet... so not only can you not charge your controller while using this headset, the mic is very quiet even on max mic volume... I took my son and nephew there today. My nephew was interested in a possible trade-in for his x-box. The associate took the system behind the counter to assess the value and assumed my nephew was going to do the trade-in so he completed a factory reset without asking permission first. My nephew no longer has 100+ games he had when he walked in to GameStop Brighton! When I called the store, the manager (Kate) said she's only been there 2 days and there's nothing the store could do. She gave the phone to the District Trainer (Gabby) who asked me questions but continuously interrupted when I attempted to answer.
