Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews — Restaurant in Brighton

Let me start by saying I don't leave reviews often, good bad or ugly, I usually just move on. The thing is, this ended a particularly wild and eventful 24-hour period of my families lives, and I won't let it go. We are from out of town, and we stopped here around 5pm on Sunday 9-24-23. Our waitress, Amanda, was great at first and was completely on top of table service. We received our food in a timely manner, but one small issue arose, and a side of sweet potato fries were served, clearly aged by time and cold, so we requested replacement, which was, seemingly an OK request. Within minutes we were brought a piping hot side of sweet potato fries and couldn't possibly have thought that there could be any other issue. The first order of this dish was not taken away, and my girlfriend was snacking off the cold order, so I gave them all to here and picked up the hot order of fries from the basket, by the oaper lining they were on, and to my horror the plastic basket was absolutely filthy. some kinds of liquids and discoloration aswell as some solid food were underneath my food. So we called the manager over and he apologized, and I watched him take the order back and then he brought us another basket of fries. Meanwhile, other than an apology, never offered to comp this off our order, which mind you was the third basket of fries brought to us, and even though it was $1.99 addition to add sweet potato fries, it wasn't even offered to us that they had made multiple mistakes, and ruined my appetite by serving me food on a wet, contaminated, filthy food basket. I was eventually, after 15 minutes of waiting with our food boxed and ready to leave, the bill that Amanda dropped off was finally picked up to charge, but, for some reason would no longer make eye contact with us, "as if she took blame for the kitchen's terrible work ethic" Overall I want to give this place a zero, Amanda was great at first, her table service was fantastic, the managers here really dropped the ball, at the very least we should not have been charged for the $1.99 sweet potato fries, would have changed the bill from $75 to $73, and The gesture alone would have been great, but the lack of acknowledging the error is just mind-boggling for a comany that is so widespread. The only 10/10 I will give this place is that fact that If we are ever visiting that side of the state again, we won't be back. Oh, side note my girlfriend, who is far more adamant that I, called them after we left, and the kitchen manager, after offering her a job and talking her ear off about the Detroit Lions, graciously offered us a free appetizer the next time we head over of that side of that state. 🙄. I ordered a Medium-Rare burger which came to me raw inside and the waitress was very below expectations. We didn't get silverware until we asked for it during our entrees, I had to ask another waitress for a refill on water, the raw burger could have been caught with a quick inspection since it was split and raw meat was visible, she didn't follow with the meal soon enough (manager was going table to table) and she basically disappeared for about 15 minutes at the end with no follow-up on the new burger.

But she did start out great and was very personable and attentive at the beginng as well as sincerely apologetic about the raw burger. And the manager was on top of the burger issue and handled it very well so she may have thought she needed to back off a little. We left a 10% tip which we felt was appropriate for the quality and amount of service she provided.

The new burger they brought was more cooked than the first but still not Medium Rare. I actually order this way because I prefer Rare, don't mind medium and most cooks can usually get it within one temp range. This was our 5th visit to the Brighton location and we have always had great food from Red Robin so we will definitely be back especially since we've seen how well they...

08/2019 We are celebrating my Son's, and Granddaughters birthday. Everything was very good! Our waitress Julianna was very nice! She asked how things were, and made sure we were getting everything needed. Also, "who we believe was the manager" , came out and also asked how everything is going. I had the Avo-Cobb-O Salad, everyone else had 3 different type of burgers. My granddaughter had Mac and cheese with orange slices. Very good! They will sing if it's your birthday and give an ice cream desert to you. The gentleman cleaning our table as we were leaving was delightful, very kind!

08/13/2023 We came here to Celebrate our Son, and Granddaughters birthday! The staff was fabulous! I'm not sure if it was the cooks that served us our meals, but they were fabulous! I had the Cheesy Bacon Fondue Burger with with dipping sauce. Christine our waitress was wonderful! She was so pleasant and just Very kind!! Keeley was also Very kind! The food there was great! It was a perfect choice!!! Keep up with all the wonderful service! You guys know how to make it one of the best places to attend!
