Today I ordered Rapid Pickup. Upon submission I had 5 minutes until it would be ready. I got there in 7 minutes. When I arrived at the pickup area, there was nothing there. First response I received from an employee - Did you order from another Panera? ("not our fault"). She seemed to have no idea that I had placed an order. Employee #2 likewise had no idea that I had placed an order. It is Sunday, around 2p, the store was not busy. She asked for my name, found that I had ordered at the correct Panera, and then told me it would be a few minutes (=no apology). At this point we are at 12 minutes. Employee #3 then says, "we didn't have what she wanted, so no order was filled" (=never bothered to tell anyone). And yet, I was billed and I received no notification of the problem. I asked for my money back. Employee #2 says, "ok." When I asked for a receipt, she was completely confused. "It's taken care of" (=not willing to help me). I insisted that I receive an on-site record of the cancelled transaction. Her response, "well, then I will have to get someone like a manager..." Ok... Employee #4 comes to the cash register, never makes eye contact with me, completes the process, and then hands the receipt to Employee #2, who then hands it to me. No apology. Nothing. I get to the door and say, "Not even a sorry!" No response. NEVER ONCE AN ATTEMPT TO REMEDY THE SITUATION. Once I returned home, I attempted to find a customer service link to email Panera on the website. It doesn't exist.
This is the reason that small businesses should be utilized. If there is someone at this company that cares about my business, then they are hiding. Small businesses need your money and most of their employees are in direct contact with the owner. That is, everyone is aware at a small business of the importance of the customer. It is worth the money to get good customer service.

Read moreI go to Panera bread twice a week and I avoid this one like the plague if possible. They are the slowest one I've been too no matter when I go there. Always takes 15 to 20 minutes. Today I went just for drinks. I got in drive through line because it was just drinks. Thought it would be ready pretty quick and there was no line. I got scolded at the drive through order for getting in line before it was ready. One person in front of me and 15 minutes later, my order was ready before I pulled up. I was handed my gallon of green tea by a general manager. It usually comes with cups. He did not hand me any which is fine so I asked for cups and lids. He handed me the cups only. I asked for lids and straws and he looked so annoyed, like he was holding back saying something rude. I felt like I did something wrong. Mind you I wasn't asking for a favor. I am a paying customer and made to feel like I was bugging the general manager working there. Well, sorry about that. Certainly won't come there again and bother anyone asking for your repeatedly terrible and slow service. I'll go...
Read moreThis place is awful. I talked my boyfriend into going with me because I've always loved the quick fresh food ...it's been a while since I've gone to Panera and oh how you've changed. $40.00 later we had the worst soup and sandwiches I've ever eaten in my life. Burger King is better then this and cheaper. The chicken cold cut sandwich is fake Tyson meat with the nasty pretend grill marks???? Why!? Nobody wants fake meat especially when you pay top dollar for "fresh" food. The manager came out to help people in front of us and she looked as if she hadn't showered in days, filthy. The dining room walls/windows and ceilings are filthy here and every employee is a millennial who's effort for absolutely anything doesn't go further then their own nose. This place is a lame ass corporate knock off. Next time I'll spend the same at Champs and have a real hamburger cooked in front of me from staff that enjoy...
