We went a few weeks ago.
First off, the ice cream was delicious. No complaints there. Very creamy and I liked the unique flavors. My biggest frustration is when a place is listed as allergy friendly, but they do not have a list of the ingredients. First, we have food allergies that are not a part of the narrow list of common allergies. I am allergic to corn, and the employee could not tell me if corn syrup is used or not. It is scary to feel like I am playing roulette when I go out to eat. Secondly, allergens can be hidden in ingredients by another name sometimes. It is best for us to be able to look over the ingredients ourselves. For people with significant allergy concerns, this restaurant is not a safe option.
I still would have given a higher rating except that the employee was unexpectedly short with us while we were preparing to go. We were standing around chatting and taking a long time to leave. There were no other patrons but as far as I know, it was still 20 minutes until closing time. We had picked up all of our trash. No one had ever told us something like, “just so you know, we’re closing soon.” But the employee was trying to mop and we had not noticed that we were in his way. Instead of waiting for us to leave or politely asking us to move, he said, “please move. Just please, go. I’m trying to mop.” Maybe he had a rough night, idk. But it was startling for him to be so curt when, near as I could tell, we had done nothing wrong...

We visited the BA location yesterday with my parents who are deaf. Usually when we go somewhere, they’ll point on the menu to what they’re wanting. They both pointed to which flavors they were wanting and the employee behind the counter simply told them “I can’t see what you’re pointing to” and offered no other way for them to order other than for me to order for them. I tried to educate the employee, telling him while it may not be his intention, he comes off as rude and disrespectful. I told him in cases like theirs, they need to have a physical copy of a menu so they can order, offer a piece of paper to have them write their order, or he, himself could point to the different flavors to see which one they prefer. I was told that he wasn’t the manager, therefore he couldn’t do anything about it, he’s asked many times for a physical copy of a menu to no avail. It’s...
Read moreWhy are the employees there so rude? It took me a few days to decided on whether or not I wanted to try this place, considering the reviews. I personally don’t like dealing with rude employees but decided to give it the benefit of doubt. I myself am a customer service worker so I know it’s not always a good time and I try and be as nice as possible to all customer service workers. It was my first time there today and honestly I should’ve listened to the reviews. Employees look so miserable there and aren’t friendly at all. Maybe management is the issue? Who knows. All I have to say is nice customers don’t deserve to be treated poorly just because you hate your job and manager. You can always go for something you want...
