Shaky Jake’s Burgers & Franks — Restaurant in Broken Arrow

The short statement... although the meat isn't seasoned, it's all fresh and it tastes great!

The long version... I took my mom here to try their onion rings, they were listed as pretty good. My first impression was that I was really impressed. The staff was friendly, the service was fast, and the food was fresh...and I mean all of it! I ordered the el Desordenado and my mom ordered the Fish n' Chips, and we got the fried pickles for the appetizer.

So let's start there...the fried pickles were great! I mean, it's not too difficult to be "great", but the batter they used was good, it was fresh and crunchy, kinda like Sonic when Sonic was still good. I do wish the pickle slices themselves were a little thicker, but I won't argue over semantics.

The main course came out, and we were both impressed by the serving sizes! I can say that, at least for me, I've gotten so used to seeing the sizes become smaller and smaller and prices remain the same, but not here. The fish was four large pieces, stacked on the plate and my burger, w/two patties, was also busting at the seam w/the chorizo chili coming out of the top. Both the fries and the onion rings were fresh and hot. I will say, the reason for only four stars on the food was the lack of seasoning. Although the fish had good natural flavor, and the batter used was baked to a perfect, flakey brown, there was no seasoning at all in it. And the patties on my burger were the same. I will say, at least w/the burger, the toppings made it great anyway, and a little salt and pepper on the meat, finished it off!

All in all, I loved this place. It was low key, the staff was amazing, and the food was surprisingly better than I had anticipated. I wish I had thought of pics before eating it, but que...

Two hour dinner that left a member of the party sick... This was my second and last time to Shaky Jake's. I have never had a wait staff so non-existent, so fast on the blame shifting including blaming me for the order not being correct. When we noticed the second table get up and leave after waiting for service, we should have left too... molasses is the best way to describe the speed of service. I should not have to say this, but it is never okay for a restaurant to cover your dinner in gravy, when nothing says in the description that it is served with gravy. Since it was my son's meal, I sent it back and waited for his meal to get corrected before I started eating my burger. By the time his meal came back, most at our table was done. As you can see in the picture, I ate about a third of my burger when I noticed missing ingredients. I alerted the wait staff as soon as I could find one. We eventually get our checks, and tried to pay. About 25 minutes later I had to go track the wait staff down and ask for our check and cards back. This is when the waitress told me next time not to wait so long if the food is wrong. She said her manager said it was my fault for not speaking up sooner... mind you I have never had the burger before, and had to find an employee to look at it and confirm the order was wrong. We were told at first it was one of the cooks moving to fast and not paying attention, later it became my fault. I told her I am not trying to argue, I just want my card and check so we can go. Literally as I signed the check, she is constantly telling me its my fault for waiting so long. And next time to let them know immediately when I realize the order is wrong. Let me be very clear, there will not be...

I picked up a doordash order from this place earlier this year and after seeing it wanted to try it for myself. The menu and the presentation of the food looked enticing. I went on Thursday they open at 3pm so perfect for my lunch hardly anyone there. Got great service upon walking in and could sit anywhere at bar or table with cushions. It's a nice place and I like the stained glass they have. I ordered the black bean burger with curly fries. I made sure to have an appetite as I knew the portions were good size. The burger was amazing good size and the patty mite been homemade with black beans corn, pico de Gallo, guacamole , lettuce and vegan cheese. Great flavor I enjoyed every bit. The fries were nice and hot and crispy. Few places season fries well when curly but these tasted good and least half pound of em. Glad I didn't have earlier meal lol. The meal overall was great and Madison took good care of me. Very friendly and polite and checking up on me asking if I needed anything else. Also letting me know I could keep the plastic cup and get refill so I had to give her a good review after such great service! I would definitely recommend this place they seemed to have a happy hour if u got hot dog or appetizer was half off but my entree was enough for me lol. Highly recommend for great food that's real food actually made fresh and service. Definitely give Shaky Jakes a try sometime u...
