First restaurant of the new year and the first time trying out @district.burger (on Instagram) I told my business colleagues that we have to try this place out! Knowing that they love burgers this ought to be a fun experience! It truly was!
Our server Ed told us about the restaurant and how they use local sources for their menu!
I asked for recommendations and he gave us a good overview of the burgers. However, as I walked in they had a sign outside the front door about new year new burger! I asked if he tried it and he said it was in the back and he's about ready to try it so he couldn't really tell me about it
Not knowing what was in/on the burger I ordered it! It could either be super fantastic or a total flop. I'm not sure if people order a total unknown meal on a whim or not. I'm adventurous enough to say what the heck give it a try!
We started the meal with Cheese & Tallow Fries. These are fries, cheese sauce topped with tallow fried onions and thousand island dressing. Totally worth it!
Onto the burger selection; my two lunch partners chose The District and the other ordered The Sigma while I ordered the newest burger The Klecka!
Both of my lunch mates truly liked their burgers. They were your basic burgers two patties, lettuce, shoulder bacon but the Sigma added a fried egg.
This was my selection, an unknown burger just revealed for the new year! The Klecka is their newest burger so I'm not exactly sure of all of the ingredients. Two patties but ahhhh this burger is slightly different. This one is mixed with sausage and ground beef excellent combo! Going to say up front I'm going to apologize to the restaurant if I get this wrong.
They have peanut butter on the top bun, hash browns, jalapeño jelly, shoulder bacon. I know peanut butter on a burger sounds weird but this is my second time having a restaurant that serves a burger with peanut butter. Weird but delicious!
Totally blown away with this burger!! Excellent flavor combos, perfectly cooked burger, what else can I say other than it was fantastic! Now I did have to get some extra jalapeño jelly because I really didn't get that flavor while I was eating. Last point this is a $20 burger but totally worth the experience!
I must admit this place is worth trying! They have outdoor patio seating for the warmer months and I must say I would enjoy a lunch or a dinner burger outside!
The inside seating was unique and nicely decorated. If you're in the a Broken Arrow vicinity definitely give this place a try if you...
Read moremy wife and I visited this burger this past Saturday for lunch after hearing many great things about the food. The beef is locally farmed very fresh and it really won’t disappoint you. They have some great options.
I got the Oklahoma style burger. I think it was very flavorful. It had onions in the burger very well, and it was not overpowering. When I was eating the burger you could still taste the hamburger patties and also the onions complimented. I think it was so good that I didn’t even need to add any more sauce or ketchup or mustard and anything like that. It was just a very good burger. my wife enjoyed her burger as well. really liked it set the flavor on just a traditional cheeseburger was great. The food quality is excellent.
We also got the rosemary truffle french fries these fries were really great. I think the fries at this place is probably one of the best things because the way they make the fries they’re more of a square cut fry and they cooked them not in vegetable oil or granola oil, but in beef tallow and really leaves the fries more aromatic and that way you really enjoy your food and get such a good quality taste in every bite. And when you are finished eating after your food, you just don’t feel as heavier blood because it’s all organic beef locally formed and such a fresh light meal. We did end up spinning about 50 bucks but overall our food was amazing. We will definitely go back to eat again.
Our negative feedback for this is not actually the food or is the aesthetics of the place, but it is the service. Our server was very distant and rude and wouldn’t even come back to the table. we actually continue to run low on drinks. Continue to have the problem when it was in need of napkins or other items we constantly had to ask someone else and then after that when he did come back to give us a bill, we didn’t see him for another about 10 minutes and then we eventually had to flag down someone else who works there just to pay so we can leave noticed that he was wearing headphones in one of his ears the whole time and just continued to disappear so outside of the food everything else was not great. The food was great. Service was not great for us, but I do highly...
Read moreDarlings, gather close, for I must impart upon you the tale of an unexpected gastronomic triumph—a tale spun within the welcoming walls of District Burger, a place that dares to elevate the humble burger into the realm of artistry.
From the moment we entered, the atmosphere wrapped around us like a well-tailored cashmere throw—casual, yes, but imbued with a certain je ne sais quoi that whispered, You are in good hands now. And those hands, my dears, belonged to Taylor, our radiant waitress and a beacon of hospitality. With poise and precision, she anticipated our every need, ensuring our experience was not merely satisfactory, but transcendent. Taylor, you exquisite marvel, you have set a new standard for service.
Now, to the food, which arrived not in the dreaded state of indifference (cold, neglected, forlorn), but instead warm, fresh, and brimming with intention. The Southern Chicken Sandwich—a masterful composition of crisp, succulent brilliance. The Buffalo Chicken Sandwich—a perfectly balanced waltz of heat and tenderness. And the Rosemary French Fries—oh, the fries! Golden, herbaceous, whispering sweet nothings of indulgence with every bite. And let us not forget the garlic aioli, a sauce so divine it deserves its own adoring fan club.
But, my loves, nothing—nothing—could have prepared me for the Ferrero Rocher Milkshake. A confection so luxuriously decadent, I suspect it was crafted by celestial beings. Each sip an opulent embrace of hazelnut and chocolate, a velvet elixir that transported me to a place beyond time, beyond space, beyond earthly concerns. If there exists a milkshake more divine, I have yet to encounter it.
And so, I beseech you—make your way to District Burger. Order with abandon. Request Taylor if fate allows. Surrender yourself to the flavors, the warmth, the unapologetic joy of it all. You...
