Dos Bandidos: A Gastronomic Fiesta Embarking on a culinary journey at Dos Bandidos is akin to stepping into a realm where every flavor dances in harmony, leaving your taste buds in a state of euphoria. The red tacos, a masterpiece of culinary ingenuity, were nothing short of extraordinary – a symphony of textures and spices that lingered on the palate like a culinary serenade. The green salsa and habanero sauce, both celestial in their own right, elevated the dining experience to new heights. Each dip into these ambrosial concoctions was a sensory revelation, igniting a delightful tango of flavors that left me in awe. Pairing these culinary wonders with a Negra Modelo was a stroke of genius. The malty richness of the beer complemented the tacos with finesse, creating a marriage of flavors that transcended mere sustenance to reach the heights of gastronomic delight. Even the bathrooms, often a neglected facet of dining experiences, were a testament to Dos Bandidos' commitment to excellence. Immaculately clean and artistically adorned, they mirrored the attention to detail that permeated every aspect of this culinary haven. A special nod to our waitress, a maestro of hospitality. Her attentiveness and kindness were like the warm embrace of an old friend, and the engaging small talk added a personal touch to the dining affair. In the grand finale, as I left Dos Bandidos, the satisfaction resonated within me like the lingering notes of a well-played symphony. This Mexican haven has mastered the art of culinary alchemy, turning each visit into an unforgettable gastronomic fiesta.

One of the worst places I have ever had the misfortune of visiting. One star is too much. We waited 45 minutes for a table. No chips salsa or water. We ordered the sampler still no chips. The Elote was bland and watered down. I ordered unsweet tea waited until my meal arrived before they brought Sweet'N low. The dishes did not come out at the same time. Sides came first, by the time the dishes arrived the sides were cold. Refried beans and rice were bland. The meat in the fajitas was tough dried out, no flavor. They forgot the tortillas. The salsa when it finally did arrive tasted like V8. I ordered vampiros not much flavor and the shredded beef was burnt also the sides I ordered were incorrect. Consume tasted like canned enchilada sauce. All of the food had arrived and we waited an additional 15 minutes before they could manage to bring us utensils. I complained to the manager and was told it would be comped but then $110 bill was brought to me with a $25 gift card for my next visit. I don't hate anyone enough to give them that card. I would have had a better flavor experience at Taco Bell. They did finally drop the price of the meal, but I still overpaid. They gave me nothing but excuses about being blown up on Tiik Tok. Maybe that could be an excuse for the wait, but is no excuse for shoddy service and horrible food. Only positive thing I can say was the guacamole was good, but was just avocado, onion and tomato...not hard to not mess up. Probably should not have trusted the review of someone who gets high before going to eat.

I like the fact that Dos Banditos alerts their potential customers that the restaurant’s food is Cali-Style. I have avoided the restaurant for years because of that warning. Is it really Cali-Style Mexican food, or is that just a clever marketing ploy to lure displaced west coast migrants? In spite of their assertion, the food was surprisingly delicious. There are two meals that I recommend from the lunch menu. My wife and I have had these meals at real Mexican restaurants before, and in comparison, the Vampiro Tacos and the Alambres were spectacular. The Vampiro tacos were corn tortillas, grilled until the cheese was crispy and then loaded with flavorful tender shredded beef, topped with guacamole and a sprinkle of cilantro. Order the charro beans! The Alambres were made with chopped steak, bacon and fresh onion and red and green bell pepper, then heated until the cheese was melted. Delicious. And a bonus, each plate had a chili toreado. The chips and salsa were fair. The hot being more of a medium level of heat. The mild had a nice flavor. The service was excellent from an energetic young lady, who was managing the entire dining area and bar. I didn’t catch her name, but the receipt said Kia. It is a very attractive restaurant, clean and comfortable. The parking in downtown Broken Arrow is a pain. Dos Banditos, a pleasant surprise. Be there for lunch!

I went for dinner here on 7/23/25 with my boyfriend after seeing an influencer/food critic on Instagram post about it. Thankfully I live in south BA so we didn’t have to drive out of our way. I’ll start with the place looked busy when we got there, to me this restaurant is pretty small compared to other restaurants in the area & they only had a few open tables. First it took a few minutes to get us a table no biggie but once seated we sat there for a good 5+ minutes before someone noticed us & brung out chips & salsa. The waiter was a younger man with curly hair, he was nice I’ll give him that. We ordered the margarita flight which was good & not bad for $12. Then the waiter took our order. I ordered the Shredded Beef Empanadas off the appetizer menu, he ordered the California Burrito. The waiter came out a few minutes after taking our order & asked what other empanadas I would like because the kitchen only had enough beef for 1 out of the 4 empanadas that came with my order. I told him Black Bean. It took a little bit for our food to come out nothing too crazy though. Once the food hit the table my boyfriend was picking at his food wondering what the little strings were, it was cold shredded cheese inside of his burrito. We didn’t think much of that until I bit into my Black Bean Empanada & the bean was cold, like just came out of the refrigerator cold. I took a few more bites & decided it has to go back. My boyfriend then had me touch the inside of his burrito & it too was cold not warm COLD. We waited a couple minutes but didn’t see our waiter so I motioned a lady sweeping & told her our food was cold. She said she didn’t work there she was just helping out & grabbed a waiter/hostess. I told this lady our food was cold & she went to get the manager. The manager was a man & he came over seeming rushed. He said “you got the California burrito & you the empanadas” my boyfriend said “yes they are both cold inside, you can touch it” the guy was like yeah I’ll take it & have it remade. My bf said “she ordered the shredded beef but the kitchen didn’t have enough beef & gave her 3 bean” manager said “okay bean” & my bf again told him I ordered the beef. The manager took the food & came back with new plates a little while later. He said “California burrito & shredded beef empanadas” sat them down & my bf said “now you have beef, earlier yall were out” the manager said “the kitchen is busy so I made them”. 😑 The food was hot & tasted good thankfully but at this point I was very irritated & we both had lost our appetite. The waiter came back with the check & to my surprise we were billed for everything. I didn’t expect a free meal but a discount would’ve been appropriate. The waiter asked if we needed boxes & we said yes. He went to the back grabbed boxes then walked straight past us outside with the boxes. He came back took our cash payment then asked if we needed anything else & we told him yes boxes. He walked to the back then came out & was standing around the register/computer with 3 other waiters/staff with no boxes in his hands. I sat there for a minute then got up headed in his direction when he turned around grabbed 2 boxes & headed my way. My bf left a tip which I discouraged because yes the waiter was nice but he definitely wasn’t good. I had been wanting to try this place even before I seen the influencer video on Instagram but that experience was terrible & we won’t be back. Clearly this place is pretty good since they have been in business for as far as I know over a year. Maybe this was an off night but how the manager handled this situation doesn’t sit right with me & I’ll take my business...
