(Original) Started coming here after moving to Atlanta and honestly have loved it. They are super welcoming and very informative, putting up with all my questions and making me feel comfortable (still rather new to Botox).
Update 11/18/2024 (reduced to two stars) Clearly they are having issues since my original post. Starting off there were issues with staff and not having someone capable of filling the products I was getting (and also paying a membership for). I was thanked for my patience (like I had a choice) and at one point a new woman was checking me out and what I assume is the manager was telling me she would give me a discount. When I was processed and paid for my service the new employee brought up they didn't apply the discount and the manager and I met eyes and it was clear she was banking on it going unnoticed. The staff change there like a rotating door, which speaks volumes about the state of the business that is also underlined by the fact that it is rare another customer is ever there when I am. Also it took weeks to get my prescription just recently and the supplies that came with it were not right, it was changed from a courier delivery to UPS (because they are so reliable) and clearly they changed pharmacies/compounding pharmacies (of which I can find no email alerting me to this change) to something cheaper (while still charging a premium price) for them. I also had to drive 35 minutes away from my home to find a place with availability to conduct labs because they have apparently outsourced it versus doing it internally like before. They also "switched systems" which resulted in the loss of what seems like most of my information, first concerning and then alarming/irritating when I am getting spammed with several texts to fill out new forms asking questions not even related to the care I am receiving. (I work in tech and you should have been able to have a CRM provider transfer your medical records. It's not hard I work in this space for a living). This all just speaks volumes to a disorganized company clearly going downhill and in need of a lot of change (and not speaking to their new location which is farther away in what I am assuming is a cheaper building). The only reason I am giving this place two stars is because the staff (as noted by other reviewers calling out the nice staff or those doing injections), not management, are great individuals trying to perform their jobs to the best of their ability. The issues are clearly...
Read moreUpdate: Initially left a positive review on my way out their door at their request, but I have to be honest so a revision is due. Positives- Had a Groupon so it was cheap. Quick. Aesthetician was very sweet and personable, but not sure her level of experience. I thought I was originally acheduled with a PA. Negatives- Something was either wrong, or I was a baby about IPL, but she turned down the settings twice before it was tolerable. Never had a problem with unmanageable pain w/ other lasers for hair or skin & I have had many over the years. I used to work as a laser provider, got free treatments, & could tolerate whatever without numbing cream. But never had had IPL before. Well, a few days later after the IPL, I knew it wasn't just me being a wuss. I started having white and skin-colored papules and pustules on my forehead especially, where the pain had been THE worst. I was out of state at the time because I had to go to California for work for a few months, so I didn't go back. I thought maybe it was the climate change at 1st. But it persisted. Saw a derm there diagnosed it as sebaceous hyperplasia from the IPL, apparently a possible side effect I was not aware of, and can be a higher risk with certain machines or penetration of the light. Great. Well, it got worse for a while and looked like acne and milia -- not something you want at 48. I rode it out; no more lasers or anything fancy, just regular skin care & some low strength OTC retinoids. Now, 9 months later, the eruption is mostly just the flesh-tones papules and a few white ones, but it still hasn't returned to normal. And I never saw a improvement in my hyperpigmentation. Lose/lose. Word to the wise -- do your research, don't do Groupon for this kind of thing that can cause long-lasting skin changed. Would...
