Briarcliff Frame, Gallery & Gift — Attraction in Brookhaven

I have been using Briarcliff Framing for more than ten years. The ownership of this store has recently changed and with it the commitment to producing a quality product. I recently spent almost $700 dollars to frame an original watercolor as a gift to my spouse for Christmas. I received the framed picture and it was a disaster. The watercolor was ruined and wrinkled. I complained and asked to speak to the owner. Instead an associate from the store called me back. I went back into the store today with the picture and again complained and requested a complete refund of the framing. The associate (not the owner) called the owner who proposed a 50% refund and that I could keep the picture. The watercolor is ruined and does look suitable to be put up in our home

I am now out not only the price of the framing but also the art work. I would strongly recommend that if you have original artwork you find another framing shop.

Equally important, the new owner is apparently unwilling to talk directly with her customers about unsatisfactory work product.

In summary, poor quality framing and virtually non-existent customer service. If it were possible I would give this store negative stars. Look elsewhere this is not the same high quality store...

I had used Briarcliff Frame Shop for something very special and they did a terrific job. I recently had something that needed framing and I was directed to another store who does framing but doesn't specialize in it; however, when I took the item there, the price was ridiculous and I was very hesitant to pay what they were asking, not get it back for 3 weeks AND framing wasn't there specialty. I immediately took the item to Briarcliff Frame Shop. Well, they did it again!! I showed the item to Emily and explained where I had taken it & the cost involved. She came up with an idea that not only looked better, it cost me $100 less! To top it off, I explained that if possible, I would like it finished within a few days. It was ready earlier than I requested and it looked better than I had imagined it would!! The staff is very customer focused and they treat you like you are their #1 customer. I brought my signed, limited edition Mark Ryden print to David at Briarcliff Frame Shop and am in awe of what he did with it! The piece is very valuable to me and I was nervous to take it anywhere to be framed, but was instantly relieved when I met David! He is very professional, knowledgeable, and kind. I had a general idea of what I wanted, and he took that and made it so much better. The print looks beautiful. It is everything I wanted and more, and it was ready on time as they promised. the process of getting an important piece of art framed was seamless and easy, the results were gorgeous.
