I’m impressed. Allow me to explain. First, the aesthetic and ambiance are beautiful. But appearances only go so far.
Second, the service is top tier. Both Amiri (pronounced a-MY-ree) and Sierra are cool people, and I feel like their energy is perfect for both introverts and extroverts.
But what about the food? I tried the affogato, 2 shots of espresso poured over gelato of your choice. I selected Espresso and Triple Chocolate.
Result: a delight. I poured the espresso over the gelato, and the flavors paired perfectly as I spooned my way to bliss. I can confidently say that this is the best affogato I have ever had.
I also sampled the Lavande Citron, which was delicate and refined. The flavors were also easily distinguished from each other, which impressed me.
Of course, there are many more items, like macarons, entremets and a variety of teas, and I plan to return and keep expanding my palate. You will not easily run out of culinary exploration here!
Care has been taken with the allergen listings on each food item, and there’s going to be something for just about everybody.
Overall, epic. An unmitigated joy. I’m glad we stopped by. Highly...
Read moreI had the absolute pleasure of being helped by Brandii at Sucre, and she made my visit unforgettable. From the moment I walked in, she greeted me with a warm smile and genuine kindness that immediately set the tone. Not only was she knowledgeable about the pastries and drinks, but she also took the time to give thoughtful recommendations that ended up being spot on.
I decided on the fruit tart and the almond petit four, and both were absolutely delightful—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Her suggestions made my choices even more enjoyable.
Her professionalism, attentiveness, and positive energy truly elevated the experience. It’s rare to find someone who makes you feel both valued as a customer and welcomed as a guest, but Brandii does exactly that with ease.
Sucre is already a gem of a French bakery, but employees like Brandii make it shine even brighter. If you stop by, I highly recommend asking for her—she’ll make your visit just as sweet as the...
Read moreI visited Sucré for the first time on Sunday morning after hearing so many great reviews and was really excited to try it. Unfortunately, my experience did not match the hype.
When I walked in, the employee working the front (I believe her name was Tasheerah) seemed visibly irritated and uninterested in helping. Since it was my first visit, I asked for a recommendation, and she responded dismissively and told me to “just look.” The tone felt unwelcoming, as if I was inconveniencing her by asking basic questions.
After I placed my order, the same energy continued — my items were handed to me abruptly and it felt like she was ready for me to leave before I even had a chance to enjoy the café. It wasn’t the warm, friendly atmosphere I had expected based on other reviews.
The pastries themselves were good, but the customer service really dampened the experience. Honestly willing to go again, but honestly at a different time, this was not how I wanted to...
