Unfortunately second time that I had to come back after less than a week because the result was not satisfying and this place refused to fix it but wants to charge full price again. (It's getting more pricey each time but quality worse) .Telling me it looks totally fine. You are free to make up your own mind about this: does this look good to you or do find the yellow orange nail look pretty? I'm not smoking nor do I use any coloring anywhere as I'm pregnant. I came in with an acrylic set (beautiful , light in color and lasted over 3 weeks, fine in Germany) that hasn't been fully removed. Instead it was only taken off partly and then new acrylic added. I think it reacted and turned into an ugly yellow smoker nail look and it gets stronger each day. I was told it looks great, as if I'm stupid. What do you think? Been a loyal client but unfortunately I will not return as I do not pay 70 USD for something that looks like this after a few days and then they want another 70 for fixing what they messed up. Sorry but this time you lost me, I have you a second chance after you messed up once . But this is not how you keep clients. I just went on to do my errands and asked a cashier and the lady behind how they think these nails look...they said literally "like smoker nails" . One thing is to mess something up, the other is to gaslight someone and say it looks normal. At least I didn't get hurt like the guy next to me. He was bleeding from her pedicure and she made him think it's his fault. Not cool
Update: after I saw the response that says they might have been too busy to fix the issue (which isn't true, I was told I have to pay full price to fix it and get a new set after not even 1 week) I went back to get it fixed. First time I walked in they sent me out because they said they have no time. Second I walked in today there was no other customer. Nissy or whoever she is was right away aggressive and talking shit about me to her colleagues while taking off that horrible looking yellow stuff. While doing so she hurt me and was extremely rough. Again she didn't remove all the stuff on my nails which last time led to the yellow reaction underneath the new later of gel. I asked her kindly to remove it completely and she got most of it. After that she wanted to charge me 15 dollars and started to gaslight me. I was client for almost 2 years and came all the way from Erie always. I regret putting any dollar into this store. This woman lies, gaslights and becomes aggressive and also very greedy. I hope people see this. Next to me was a woman who also came back for a fix. If you expect that you get quality work for a high price and get it fixed if they mess up, don't go here, they mess up for full price then charge you more to get it fixed and become verbally and physically aggressive if you kindly point it out. I was hoping to change my review but they way this woman treats clients should result in her being removed for good from any...
Read moreI've been going to Sunshine Nails for over a year now and am always impressed with their quality of work. I've received service from almost all their employees, and they're all friendly, timely, and gentle. The hours are fantastic! I can make an appointment on the weekends and even after work - a rare find considering I get off at 5:30pm. Highly recommend if you're looking for a friendly, clean, good quality, and affordable salon.
Update: I really wish I didn't have to post a negative update to my previous review, but I feel the need to do so after my experience over the weekend. As always, my pedicure was relaxing and the technician did a great job on my toes, but things took a turn for the worst during my manicure. When I go to the salon, I hope to leave feeling good, but this weekend, I left in pain. All five fingers on my left hand and two on my right hand are still red, swollen, and painful because the technician used her dremel way too close to my cuticles. Two of my fingers actually started bleeding while I was still in the chair. I've never had this issue before, but I'm reluctant to go back after this experience. I'm unable to even run my hands under warm water without my cuticles burning. My thumb was hurt so badly I now have a scab forming where my cuticle would normally be. Between my pedicure and manicure, I spent $120. I would definitely expect a better experience for this amount of money and some sort of acknowledgment when the technician knew she made my fingers bleed. I'm now left wanting to place a bandaid around every finger (negating the purpose for getting a manicure in the first place) until my fingers are healed a bit. I really expected more after being such a...
Read moreWe were looking for a new shop. 2 of us went for 2 full sets and 1 pedicure. 3 nails broke in 1 set in less that 2 weeks. Other set, the polish was so thin that within 2 weeks if that set, it needed a re base. 185 dollars spent with 20 dollar cash tip.
Visit 2- 2 weeks later- nail tech ask what I wanted done. Told me the price, then asked for a tip. Yes at the beginning of my pedicure. She repeated it multiple times. I also heard another tech ask customer sitting next to me for a tip at the beginning of their appointment also.
In our culture a tip is based off customer experience. I paid 45 dollars for 3 dollars worth of polish and the labor. It is not ok to ask for a tip ever. And especially not ok to ask before the service is rendered. I felt this was extremely rude. And myself and all 5 other women in the salon were taken back and visibly offended by this request.
And yes I get it. Some people don't leave a tip. But I normally tip very well. And do not need to be asked multiple time to leave one, before they even put a nail file to my toe!!!
Once the tech started, the service was the worst I have ever had in a nail salon. My feet were in water for 40 mins waiting on someone. As I look around at the other workers I can see One tech was sleeping. Once playing video games on his phone. One just sitting around. My tech was very distracted. The pedicure was partially done then she left me in the cool water for another 15 mins. She finally came back and finished up a basic pedicure in 1 hr and 15 mins total. Left a 10 dollar tip. Didn't feel she deserved any of it. Keep your money in your pocket and drive...
