Escape Hair Studio & Salon — Attraction in Brownsburg

My friend and I were really excited that we found a salon that we could become regulars at. We went in for our appointment with Haley and felt uncomfortable the moment we walked in. It was our first time and we weren’t greeted properly and the vibes of the place made us feel unwelcome.Throughout both of the appointments it felt as if no effort was being put to make sure we were enjoying our time at this salon as it was our first time. Both of us tried to start conversations with Haley and hopefully build a long lasting relationship with a hairstylist. Every time we would comment or try to initiate a conversation it wasn’t being reciprocated. I chose Haley for us because her work on her social media looked nice. It’s sad that we both appreciated the way our hair looked at the end but did not think we were wanted at the salon. No follow up appointments were made and no effort to get to know new customers were done. I am positive that other customers that walk in are greeted in a way better manner. We shouldn’t feel like a burden at a place that we are paying for service. I would think twice before you schedule at Escape especially if you are a colored gal like myself. Seemed cliquey and I also didn’t appreciate another hairstylist interrupting my appointment with her own woes. Everyone working had a staring problem like they’ve never seen a colored person before.

I also think it’s unethical and shady to pay on venmo where things aren’t being taxed. I know if this was a minority owned business they would be...

I received a medical grade facial from Rachel Goodnight and I'm definitely going to add this facial to monthly regimen! Rachel started the facial by having me fill out a questionnaire about what I was looking for during the facial..and what my skin goals are. She made sure I was comfortable by making sure the temperature of the towels and steam were just right, she thoroughly explained every step of the facial and the products that she was using. She gave me some helpful tips on how to take my at home skin care to the next level too!

Before I was a client at Escape I was a salon hopper I would never return to the same stylist or salon twice. That all changed several years ago when I walked into Escape the environment was friendly and welcoming. My stylist Josie has helped me achieve hair goals that I didn't even know were possible. My hair has been every length from short to long and tons of colors from brunette, pink and blue to blond. I once was so intrigued with a color pattern that Hayle was doing for her client I was excited to see her end result.
