Garage 17 Barber Shop — Attraction in Brownsburg

I want to say thank you to Freddy and the gang at Garage 17. Today I left another barbershop that I trusted for more than 2 years, nearly in tears with the worst haircut of my life, and after a year of growing my hair, I was nearly bald from the butchered hack job cut I received.

When I called Freddy in tears, he immediately made time for me, quickly assessed the damage, and began to comfort me that things could be salvaged. After nearly 40 minutes of careful and surgically repairing the damage left by the other barbershop, I left Freddy's chair with my dignity in tact, and hopefully a new bound friendship for life.

A persons hair represents who they are, so a bad haircut can make you feel worthless and straight up ugly. After my visit with Freddy and his gang, I not only feel good about myself, but I feel like a forever friendship was won today. The feeling in this shop is straight up American apple pie, fun, and happy. Thank you again Freddy. Your kindness will never go unnoticed.

I took my 3 year old son yesterday to get his haircut and WOW! I was absolutely blown away with how calm he was! Usually he cannot sit still, HATES clippers, and there have been tears in the past! He was nervous when we got there as it was a new place, Freddy was outside and immediately introduced himself and got him comfortable! My son got up in the chair and got his cape on, Freddy started his haircut, my sweet boy smiled and laughed the entire time! He even let Freddy use clippers!!!! I cannot thank you enough for making our experience the BEST! You are such a blessing! The way you kept him calm, comfortable, interacted with him, all while being so patient and caring made this Mama feel at ease! He loves his haircut and the candy lol! First off, I guarantee the people leaving one star reviews have never set foot in Garage 17. 🙄

My son had a funny cowlick right in front of his head. I was looking for an experienced barber who would know how to cut my son's hair without it looking crazy. Freddy told me to bring him in to fix his "howlick", as my son called it. I took him in and Freddy did a fantastic job. He took his time to make sure my son knew what he was doing and that he wasn't afraid of the clippers. Then to top it off, Freddy wouldn't even let me pay for his haircut!!

My husband and sons have seen several of the barbers at Garage 17 and have never had a bad cut. But even more important than being excellent at their job, they are all exceptional human beings. They do more for our community than most other businesses combined. No one cares more about their customers. I highly...
