GQT Brownsburg 8 GDX — Attraction in Brownsburg

We had a great time watching Top Gun: Maverick. We went to the Sunday afternoon matinee. We ordered reserved seating tickets through the website and received them via email with no issues. Tickets were $9 EA plus a $3 service fee. Tom Cruise did a nice intro thanking those in attendance (sad to see only about 30 people in the theater) and promoted the release on the big screen. That's how we saw the original back in 1986 and agree it's the best experience for this film. A small popcorn and medium drink was $11.23. A bit pricey, but part of the experience, and would seem to be an essential part of the theather's revenue stream, given the limited number of people we saw. I only saw to employees, one at the snack counter, and one doing some work at a desk, but there was no waiting. Our tickets were scanned and printed at the snack counter and we were on our way. I have been here a couples times now and this one was one of the worst. I spent over $120 for a family of four with tickets and food. The fryer must have run into an issue after we ordered because my food took over 30 minutes. I kept having to miss parts of the movie to check on my food, the issue is no one working offered any type of apology, refund or discount, instead they stayed behind the counter talking about getting off work and having some beers. Even the guy that came from the desk, which I take was a Manager did nothing, said nothing, he was just talking with the other workers about drinking after work. The fact I missed parts of the movie for my food and no one apologized or offered anything for missing parts of the movie due to a malfunction to their equipment helps my decision to find another theater. Took a class to see a movie. We have been going weekly all summer. Never had a complaint from anyone or spoken to from staff. Have actually had staff say how well behaved our students are. Drive almost 30 minutes to see a movie and a manager greets me saying we can not be allowed in. He said they’ve had complaints on our school specifically but would not tell me what the complaints were specifically. Our children all get a $7 kids pack and we make sure we leave the theater with all our trash. So they missed out on almost $350 in sales between tickets, kids packs and whatever myself and my co-teacher purchase personally.
