I'd go so far as to say this is a little hidden gem of Brownsburg. It's pretty unassuming inside, minimal decor and quiet, no ambient music or art on the walls. But I tend to find that the hole-in-the-wall places like this always deliver on food quality and quantity.
I got the Falafel gyro and it was, so far, the best Falafel I've found in Indiana. I've found with other restaurants I've been to the Falafel is either really dry and flavorless or overcooked and hard. Indy Gyros gives you a ton of Falafel on the gyro, it was incredibly moist and soft and had a nice crispy crust. It was very flavorful too, not under or over spiced.
My partner got the lamb gyro, which is usually his go-to at gyro places, and it was also very yummy! Lots of tzatziki, too, and it tasted like it was made fresh.
We both got our meals as combos, so we got a can of soda and a side of french fries. It was a nice addition, and didn't really add too much to the overall cost.
Pricing, I don't think you can get much better in Indy. For our two gyro combos, after tip, I think we spent about $30, which compared to restaurants where we ended up spending about $30 a piece for an appetizer, a main, and a drink, you can't beat this!
We're definitely going back, now we know there's a delicious gyro stop closer than 30 minutes from...
Read moreUpdate 9-10-2024: It appears the owner may have tried to call me last night to rectify the situation. Sorry that I wasn't near my phone at the time and was unable to answer. I appreciate you reaching out and offering a way to improve the situation.
Original (2-stars): I've ordered here almost weekly since they opened. I really enjoy the food. You get good portions for what you pay.
However, the experience I just had leaves little to be desired. I paid an extra $2.29 to add chicken to my Falafel Over Rice bowl. I ordered two of them, but only received chicken on one. I realized it wasn't right after I picked it up, and when I called to try and get it corrected, I was told it was only ordered for one bowl and no solution was offered. The man on the phone only wanted to argue about it. I'm not trying to screw anyone. It's a little bit of chicken that I paid for and didn't receive. In the future, maybe offer to have some available for pickup as a way to correct the order.
Pretty sad to be...
Read moreThe gyro was really really good. Best I’ve had since Adel’s in Carmel, but so much closer to home. I was just in Ft. Wayne and ate at the most popular gyro restaurant there and Indy Gyro’s was better than that. I look forward to returning and trying some gyro platters and salads.
Kids meals were “meh”. The only bbq sauce they have for chicken nuggets is too spicy for kids. Hamburger not that great. Frozen 1/4 beef patty’s from Aldi are better.
Don’t expect much for atmosphere. It’s all Tegry Bistro stuff on the inside. That’s Ok, they are small business just getting started. As long as it’s clean, I don’t really care about the decor of a gyro joint. Hopefully they are successful and can continue investing back into the business and make improvements to the space over time.
Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Food came out within 5-10 minutes for dine-in customers and they were filling many carry-out orders. I will be back for the...
