Boulder Creek in Brownsburg, IN - Five Stars!
As an over-the-road truck driver, I've eaten at countless places across the country, but Boulder Creek in Brownsburg, IN is a true diamond in the rough. This place is a trucker's dream come true, and I can't help but give it a glowing five-star review. 🚛💨
Boulder Creek is the perfect pit stop for any trucker looking to refuel both their rig and their stomach. The food here is so good, it makes my engine purr! The steaks are tender enough to make you forget about all those potholes on I-74, and the seafood is fresher than a sea breeze on the open road. 🥩🦞
The service at Boulder Creek is top-notch, and the staff is friendlier than a CB radio on a lonely stretch of road. They know how to keep a trucker happy, and they always make sure my coffee cup is as full as my fuel tank. ☕️ The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, making it the perfect place to unwind after a long haul.
One time, I was hauling a load of garden gnomes (don't ask) and decided to stop at Boulder Creek for a bite. As I was enjoying my meal, I overheard a couple of locals talking about their "gnome" problems in the garden. I couldn't help but chuckle, thinking about the irony of my cargo. 🧙♂️
After a delicious dinner, I headed back to my rig, only to find a garden gnome had escaped and was sitting on the hood of my truck. I guess it wanted to join me for dinner! I took it as a sign that Boulder Creek is the place to be, whether you're a trucker or a garden gnome. 🧙♂️🚛 Another time, I was hauling a load of inflatable pool toys (again, don't ask) and decided to stop at Boulder Creek for a bite. As I was enjoying my meal, I overheard a couple of locals talking about a "leak" in their pool. I couldn't help but chuckle, thinking about the irony of my cargo.
After a delicious dinner, I headed back to my rig, only to find an inflatable flamingo had escaped and was sitting on the hood of my truck. I guess it wanted to join me for dinner! I took it as a sign that Boulder Creek is the place to be, whether you're a trucker or an inflatable flamingo. 🦩🚛
Steak: Cooked to perfection, juicy, and tender enough to make you forget about all those rough roads.
Seafood: Fresher than a sea breeze on the open road, and bursting with flavor.
Desserts: Sweet enough to make your taste buds dance, and the perfect ending to a great meal.
The staff at Boulder Creek is incredibly friendly and attentive. They always make sure my coffee cup is full and my meal is just right. Their hospitality is as warm as a truck cab on a sunny day.
The atmosphere at Boulder Creek is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect place to relax after a long day on the road. The decor is charming, and the seating is comfortable, providing a great spot to unwind and enjoy a delicious meal.
So, if you're ever rolling through Brownsburg, IN, make sure to park your rig at Boulder Creek. It's a trucker's paradise, and you'll leave with a full stomach and a smile wider than the open road.

Read moreTERRIBLE experience with this restaurant's management team. Had a group of 18 for a Baby Shower for a Saturday Lunch. They said booking the private area was $1500 (That's $83/person FOR LUNCH!) They let us make a regular reservation for the room instead and said they would only seat other people back in the room with us as overflow if the rest of the restaurant was full, which would be highly unlikely. They told us this on two separate occasions, and we were totally fine with that. When we got there, they had just seated 2 tables in our area and there was only 1 other table of people in the entire restaurant! Mid-way through the event they cleared the 2 tables and then seated a 3rd group back there with us. At this point, it felt like it was being done on purpose just to be rude, because there were empty tables & booths all over that restaurant.
Manager never came to introduce himself. Never checked on us. Never asked if we needed anything or were doing ok. Never thanked us for coming in with a party of 18. I approached him to ask why they were seating people back there with us and he said "Well, you didn't book the room, just a reservation, so we can seat people there." One server was pretty good, the other was rude. I had to grab plates and silverware from empty tables so we had enough. They told us they would give us two tables to set gifts and a cake on. They only gave us one.
They had some privacy doors which we tried to close a few of (not even all of them) out of respect to a table that was sitting just outside of our area. They would walk in and open them back up. They did this on multiple occasions, without explanation, just walk in and open them back up and walk out.
Mike Cunningham - the families at this event have literally spent THOUSANDS of dollars combined at your restaurants over the years. Starting with The Big Chill in Avon. The Management Team at your Restaurants should be adding to the experience of people attending a Baby Shower not detracting from it. Totally unacceptable and disappointing from what is typically a great group. We love to support local restaurants, but will not be going back to Boulder Creek again.
The attached pictures are ones we took to showcase what the restaurant capacity was while they were seating people in the back room with our group. This does not require overflow into a party of 18...nor should those customers probably want to sit next to a party of 18 with so many other...

I knew this wouldn’t be super classy, but rather an upscale dinner experience. That was not the case. Plenty of people in hats, t shirts, and there was even a server wearing beads and a tiara.
We waited 10 minutes beyond our reservation time, which happens, but they had plenty of open tables. It wasn’t as if Boulder Creek has closed sections of open tables, they had 2-3 available tables in sections with servers. Upon arrival at the table, there were crumbs all over the place.
I had to ask for a drink menu, and I told the server that I enjoy whiskey cocktails after she asked if I wanted a recommendation. She referred to the Old Fashioned on the menu, but then said “ummmm…” and proceeded to stop after that.
We put in an appetizer, which never arrived. I decided not to bring it up, not worth it. Luckily, it wasn’t on the bill. I received my Bushmills and Ginger Ale about one minute before our food came out. The main course was extremely disappointing. Soggy, watery, and under seasoned.
I was very much looking forward to dining at Boulder Creek after reading some reviews. Let’s just say, if this is the best restaurant in Brownsburg, I feel bad for the residents! I will be back to give this place a second chance, but in my eyes, it’s not...
