Overpriced for the type of activities you can do and outdated. You pay the same or less for Zoo access and get to do alot more. Not recommended for babies under two, not enough type of activities for them. Perhaps it's priced high because they know people will only be there once.
Update: 3/13/2025 We have visited this location often since the last review, so much so we bought the yearly membership, because daily fees can get expensive. Unfortunately Brownsville doesn't have many options especially indoors and this is pretty much the only one for young toddlers. Our girls are now 4 and 2 and they love going, on hot or cold days when the park is not an option. They have since expanded the the space in between and added a few more activities, such as a small track and bicycles to ride outside. They have also expanded the old Ringgold pavilion and added a climbing and slide playground. There is a infant area available on both buildings as well. Girls like it, allows them to socialize and play so we enjoy it as well.
Being that they have two buildings now and a whole outside area, the place is big enough for more activities. It has more potential than what it is being used for. Hopefully there is plans to add more options. It feels a...
Read moreI never imagined I’d be writing something like this, but I left the Children’s Museum deeply concerned and disturbed. What I witnessed behind the scenes — and the way certain employees interacted with children — set off multiple red flags.
There were moments where staff were taking children into the back without clear reasons or supervision. The interactions seemed overly familiar and, frankly, inappropriate. It did not feel right, and several other parents noticed it too. Kids should feel safe and protected in a space like this, and instead, I left feeling uneasy and disgusted.
I have reported my concerns to management and am also taking this further with the appropriate authorities. I urge any other parent who noticed anything strange to do the same. Children’s safety is non-negotiable, and this kind of behavior has no place in any environment — especially not one marketed as educational and family-friendly.
Until this is investigated thoroughly and addressed, I cannot in good conscience recommend this...
Read moreThe main kids area/play areas are nice but the infant/toddler area (Target Tot Spot) is very old and does not look good (looks old and dirty). The infant/toddler area is a solid red color with no vibrancy or contrast for little explorers to look at and the little amount of toys in that area are VERY used and old compared to the rest of the museum. They also have a water/bubble machine that barely works. Also, the infant/toddler area is not monitored like other children's museums, so older kids do go in there and do not allow infants/toddlers to play. We took our 13 month old and an older child (5-6 years old) repeatedly ripped toys out of her hands that she was playing with. We had to remove her from the area due to the other child's parents not intervening, nor staff monitoring. Would be nice if they updated this part of the Children's Museum to be as nice...
