El Pollo Loco — Restaurant in Brownsville

This review goes for both locations in Brownsville TX. Terrible service ! First time my order was wrong I didn’t check it outside the store so I didn’t get that one fixed. Decided to try again but this time I checked it before leaving and it was wrong yet again. When we told the employees they were visibly bothered to have to fix it. I decided to submit a complaint online. The location manager reached out and offered a free meal. I was not interested in going back to that location (alton gloor). I decided to try the Boca Chica location only to find they were an even hotter mess! This time I ordered on the app for curbside pick up. Ordered 2 items and both were wrong. When we went to the drive thru to let them know the employee was very annoyed as if it was my fault they didn’t make the order wrong. Finally got the food after waiting another 15 minutes only to find that they only removed the onions from the Birria quesadilla ordered and didn’t even attempt to fix the chicken taco they did wrong. Well I don't know what to say but my experience on this salad was meh! I hate it when they put hard chunks of chicken, not fresh, just dry. It gets me agitated that you pay so much for this salad that the taste isn't there, and what's with the letus cores y'all seriously, and it says Avocado salad really 2 slices.... yall need improvement on those salads I mean if you know it is a bit amount of chicken the least you can put is freshly cut pieces it be nice and hot not all sitting there who knows how long chicken and have an aweful taste that you have to put the dressing to make it moist and even then not all that. It used to be awesome. idk what happened, maybe lazy, or just don't care. But if you the ones behind counter if you were on our side I bet you would get a nice salad and yes we the people pay but expect our moneys worth and not the false photos on the board and get a flop. When I go out to spend money on a meal at a restaurant I hope that the atmosphere will be at least clean. I expect, for what I’m paying, that the food will be appetizing. This location is consistently very disappointing. It’s always dirty. The people working in there are never friendly, in fact they make excuses for their messy dining area and messing up the orders. They’re on the verge of being confrontational. The baja shrimp salad was quite a wreck. It was a sad salad of very little beans and rice on the bottom of a tiny bit of shredded iceberg lettuce .
