My family and I attended the Fall Fantasy Ball earlier tonight. Although it's a beautiful venue, they definitely didn't have any plans for patrons with mobility aids. My sister Lori uses a walker, so immediately upon entering, we saw there was a problem since there was a large staircase to climb. An employee just happened to come by, and he walked us out and around to a side entrance that led to an elevator. Once inside, we discovered there was no seating... except up on the balcony, which appeared accessible only by stairs. Lori shouldn't have to search and seek out employees to ask about chairs or if the balcony has an elevator. She needed to sit and enjoy the atmosphere. I set out looking for another elevator, and I got locked out of the party twice in doing so, and finally, after asking 3 staff members, I located it. The door to the balcony from the elevator was locked, though, so once I collected Lori and her partner, we had to knock on the small window and hope a vendor heard us! They didn't, of course, and randomly, an employee came along and used his keys to let us in. It felt like the event was really only for able-bodied people, and it's not fair for those who paid the same amount for tickets to get in to feel second class. 😕 I don't know if this falls on the event organizers or the owner of the building, but something...

Seating for concerts are first come first served in the area you sit in, so you might want to arrive early. The only couple downsides would be the chairs are not comfortable, and if you're sitting in the floor section, the venue has no slope, meaning if you're short and someone tall sits in front of you, you're going to have a tough time seeing anything. We purchased balcony seats, and the balcony was great. It's sloped, and we were able to get to the first row. We purchased "seat cushions" for the chairs, and it was just a thin pad they gave you for your seat, which didn't help any in comfortability. Parking wasn't bad, on Sunday night. Scored a spot right in front of the venue. There are parking lots nearby, and one almost directly across the street you'll have to pay for. Other than that, I'd recommend to check it out. The theater has a really cool,...
Read moreThe Forbes Theater is a standout destination in downtown Buffalo! The staff is friendly and makes handling series open seating simple and stress-free. While the balcony offers a nice overall view, I much prefer the front row seats for feeling the energy of the performance and catching every detail up close!
The bar has a great selection of drinks with quick service, so you can grab something without missing a moment.
Parking is convenient with nearby lots and street options, even on busy nights.
