As a Hilton Honors members, I make sure that I stay at a Hilton entity any chance I get. I wish that loyalty extended from the establishment to the customer. I was so disappointed and triggered staying here that I checked out hours after arrival. First, parking is limited. Be prepared to risk parking on the street and then having to walk blocks to get back to the hotel, or, be willing to pay $25 per car/per night for valet. Additionally, my personal experience was horrible. After being there for just over an hour, I heard a loud, aggressive knock on my door. I rushed to the door to inquire what was wrong, I was yelled at to open the door. I asked but who are you, and what’s wrong? The man said listen either you open the door for me or for the Police. I said give me a minute to get dressed, he replied your countdown starts now. I nervously opened the door to find two men and a female employee. The female employee nastily said to me, when you got here you signed that you wouldn’t smoke on the premises and since you are you have to immediately leave the premises. As she holds up the paper I signed, I asked what she was talking about? My guest nor I were smoking and had only been there for an hour. She said that another guest had said the smell of smoke was coming out of my room and again said I had to leave. I said I’m not going anywhere because I wasn’t smoking and she could come in the room to see for herself. All three employees entered my room while I was standing there in my undergarments, and ascertained that I indeed was not smoking nor was the smell of smoke elating from my room. She apologized and they quickly left. I was so triggered I informed the manager what had happened and told him I was no longer interested in lodging there. To which he replied he was told by his staff that an alarm had been triggered earlier by a spray I used. I said first of all, that’s not what they told me. Secondly, I didn’t have any type of spray. And thirdly, if the smoke was strong enough to set off an alarm, surely there still would’ve been some type of remnants or smell when his staff came into my room. Highly offensive and disappointing, they for sure...
Read moreThis place has so much potential to be great. We rented the corner executive suite on the 8th floor. The view was spectacular. However the room was so disgusting that we were afraid to touch anything. For almost $350 a night, clean bedding should be a given. Every surface had food on it like they just gave us the room without cleaning it from the last guest. There was hair everywhere in that room that was clear as day not mine. The jetted tub full of hair at the drain, the shower same thing and weird dirt spots on the floor of it. Now let’s get to the bedding. I pulled the blankets down and there was crumbs of food in the bed as well as more hair. I called down for new bedding. The men at the front desk were very polite, however the woman who delivered the new bedding had an attitude after I asked for a new mattress protector and then had to send her back down again because she forgot the new blanket. I am sure she was annoyed having to keep going back and forth but we really can’t be faulted for wanting clean bedding. Also, it wasn’t like I was making her change the bedding for us, I did that on my own I just needed the supplies. The photos will speak for themselves. There was another mattress cover that had stains on it as well but that one couldn’t be removed. We had a terrible nights sleep because not only were we afraid to get in the new bedding that was covering the yellow stains underneath us on the unremovable mattress cover, but the bed was rock hard. They also make it to where if you want to park somewhere safe off the side of the road you HAVE to pay for valet parking. $25 a night. There is a parking lot right next to the hotel that is only allowed to be used if you are paying for valet. We booked here because we stayed in the other chain in Manhattan in NYC and we LOVED it. This one was such a let down and I immediately wanted to go home as soon as I stepped foot in that dirty room, but I wasn’t walking out on $350 dollars. Though we had a terrible time in our room, most of the staff were great, the breakfast amazing, the view amazing, the little shop for snacks was amazing, but this place has put us off from staying in...
Read moreWOW. Where to start? Certainly not up to Hilton standards. Grounds, interior were lovely. The people, not so much. The valet guys were WAY more interested in their potholes and weekend plans than helping us. I asked for a cart, and one of them pointed inside and told me it was probably in the corner,. REALLY?!?!! I thought that was the JOB of the bellman, which he was! Valet guys do NOT like in/out service. No place for smokers to stand. Evening reception, for non-drinkers like us, was a complete waste! No “mnocktails”, no diet drinks, but I was offered a bottle of lukewarm water! The “snacks were stale pretzels or goldfish with 3 year old hummus. crackly looking, you know? Later, we were too tired to go out to dinner, but we thought we would try the restaurant downstairs. It is open until 10. At 9:11 we arrived at the hostess stand. There was another couple standing there. We ALL waited until 9:27 without seeing anyone- no hostess, no bartender (one of the patrons had been tryin to pay his bill since we got there!), and only 2 waitresses that were mainly concerned with a large outside party. So, at 9:27, this guy from the bar gets up and says, are you guys waiting for a table? Great deduction! He explained that he was off-the-clock, but he would check and see if the kitchen was still open,. I told him all signage says open until 10. he said it really didn’t matter. Sometimes the kitchen guys got tired and shut it down. We got no food that night. We went for breakfast the next morning,. So crowded that people were standing up! Holding their plate, the drinks on various dirty dish trays, and having their breakfast. I asked for a tray, so I could get our food and take it outside. The employee was quite curt when he said NO!!! We didn’t do that! I asked what, have trays? Anyway, that was a bust too. For over $300 nightly rate and long time Hilton honor member, I seriously expected more. Like, as a human I think I expected more! Do...
