Their pizza was the worst we've ever tried. The "Buffalo Chicken" - I expected it to taste/resemble some good spicy buffalo wings... being in Buffalo, NY.... to start... the sauce tasted like plain unseasoned/uncooked tomato sauce out of the tin with lots of sugar added. The chicken also tasted plain and unseasoned. There was a very scant amount of buffalo sauce flavoring in the background... The dominant flavors were sweet tomato sauce and onions... The crust was thin, barely risen, no flavor, no good chew... though it was "chewy/tough" though not in a good way.... I would have re-named it sweet tomato sauce and onion pie.... yuck... We also tried the GF crust with sausage/cheese toppings.... the GF crust was "throw away" - I do NOT recommend eating it, may as well get toppings on cardboard. We also tried the stuffed pepper pizza... that also was bland... uncooked/unseasoned "green" peppers... not jalapenos.... as that would have added some flavor/spice... nope, just some plain/NOT spicy/uncooked greenish... possibly pepperoncini peppers stuffed with plain cream cheese... tasted like nothing... and raw... Bell Peppers have more flavor and spice... the same sad crust as the Buffalo pizza... The only upside to the ordeal was a great waitress who got mgt. involved and they comped us a couple of desserts... a lemon cake and a brownie with ice cream... both of those were good. I tipped the waitress well for doing her best to save our experience :) Perhaps this place is ok if you're looking for drinks and dessert. Good Luck
If VICE is reading this review, OMG, you'd be better off buying some premade pizza sauce and frozen crusts. Rao's would be a huge improvement. Also, you need to actually "Season" your food... all of it. *FYI - Sugar is NOT seasoning... You only need to add a small amount to balance the acid from the tomatoes. You need to season and "cook" the tomato sauce... just putting it on top of the pizza and then in the oven does...
Read moreVery unhappy with our experience at Vice and I had such high hopes for it. I booked a reservation almost 2 months in advance because the dinner was right before a show that I wanted to take my fiancé to for her birthday. When we got there we were seated in what I would have to say was the absolute worst location possible, and a continuous line of guests waiting to be seated went right next to our table so for the entire dinner different people were standing and hanging out less than a foot away from our table, bumping into us at times and just watching us eat... it was honestly unreal that this was acceptable. They gave us glasses of water that were prefilled god-knows when and were left sitting out by the dozen at the hostess station in plain view of every guest checking in, which is definitely not sanitary practice! The manager did nothing about any of this despite walking by us and the hostess stand repeatedly. When it comes to food, we had nothing to write home about. Two appetizers, two drinks, and a small shared entrée shouldn't run you $95 unless it's really solid. The mashed potatoes for example were definitely from a box mix which I think is just plain lazy. The service was downright awful, our waitress just liked to disappear and at one point held up a hand at us because she as walking to another table. I honestly think that the reason they build in a 20% gratuity here is because the service has issues that they are choosing not to address. If there was a redeeming aspect of this experience it was that the decorating inside was nice although it otherwise certainly leaves a lot to be desired. Would definitely not go again and the experience left me mortified that I had chosen this...
Read moreMy “Ol Lady” (she gets tickled when i say that cause she’s 17 years younger… Evil Grin) and I have been to Vice 5-6 times now at least and truth be told, it never fails to make us feel good and full. The best way to describe this place and the food is as a “hidden gem”. You have to try everything honestly. No bull, we have always had at least 3-4 of the food items each off the menu each trip and it has always been a great pick.
Our waitress Sam, we have had her 3 times now and she has been a delight every single time. She always offers up new things and has never been wrong with her choices. Chris the manager is always to be seen out working hard making sure that the customers and his staff are taken care of. He makes sure to see every table and make it feel personal.
We have not had any complaints yet and we look forward to coming back every time. Chris, Sam and the rest of the staff are outstanding people who, if you interact with them, will make sure you get what you want and are happy doing it. This has quickly become a favorite of ours and we are already looking forward to coming back next time.
If you’re looking to get a good place to eat this is a no brainer. It’s also great to park in the parking ramp with the loft hotel so you’re not out in the weather. Parking is not free but is worth it especially in the bad weather.
Also to mention the atmosphere here is great. It’s very trendy with music playing but never so loud that you can’t talk to the people at your table. There is also indoor corn hole you’re more than welcome to play if you want!
Don’t think twice go eat there and you...
