I want to share my feedback on my father's recent appointment. Both the Nurse Practitioner and Dr. Larson were exceptionally warm, professional, and thorough during the visit, which was my father's first. The medical assistant who measured my father's blood pressure and height was not only warm and nice but also polite, going the extra mile by asking if my father preferred to communicate in Spanish.

Unfortunately, my experience with one of the women at the front desk was not as positive. She did not greet us and appeared disinterested when I mentioned that I had already completed the new patient paperwork. When I tried to provide my father's medical records, she seemed bothered, and without any prompt from me, she mentioned the limit on the number of accompanying individuals in the room. I had an awful experience with this office. I never saw the actual doctor. My appointment was at 2pm. They admitted me at 2:20 took some vitals and told to wait. After some 30-40 min someone came in I didn’t even understand was she a nurse or doctor assistant. She was in my room for 10 min, asked my history and said the doctor will come shortly to speak with me. I waited again 30-40 min for the doctor to come and say the same nonsense that the girl told me, then I left because I didn’t know who long I need to wait more. I waited for this appointment since July and appointment was for October. This isn’t an ER or urgent care so you are prepared to wait. Im acting as an advocate for a family member, we just met Dr Larson and immediately felt relieved to find someone who took time with us and could explain everything thoroughly and most of all was respectful. She answered our questions, then asked great questions to my family member. She also gave us some pointers on what we might expect from treatment moving forward. a d presented some things we should consider in our care planning. She also presented clear cut thinking of why she wanted us to seek further testing. Ive never dealt with an oncologist before and cancer is a sensitive and scary health issue, it makes a difference to have the doctor initiate the conversation correctly with no b.s. .
