ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE experience. I attempted to purchase a ps5 digital console here on 12/23/22 for my son. The 1st issue was that they required a rewards membership to be able to get the console, the 2nd issue was that they forced you to purchase the warranty on top of the rewards membership. Whatever, kinda suspect but whatever just ring me up. Now, for whatever reason, the transaction only charged 481 from the total balance, but declined the rest. Ok no worries, i would have to return as I was on my lunch break. Unfortunately, with the holidays coming to an end i was to busy to get back to GameStop that night. I assumed my money would just get put back into my account, and of course that did not happen. I went back the following day to get back my 481 only to be told there was nothing that could be done as they could not locate the transaction. It is now 1/26/23 and i have not received a call back from anyone at GameStop, I have not received my refund, and oh yea, my poor son has yet to receive his ps5 because GameStop stope my money and clearly refuses to pay it back. I WANT MY MONEY NOW!!!!!!!… and you folks better make up for this mistake somehow...
Read moreI would have bought something, but instead walked away frustrated with Gamestop and The Pokemon Company for the botched game event. If they fix it I will change this review to be fair. I'm not unreasonable.
There wasn't enough event codes allocated for this store. They could have generated them instead. I indented to pre-order two games as a thanks you for the Koraidon and Miraidon event. I would still do that if I got both codes. Instead of generating codes like was done in the past redeemable cards were done. These went right away meaning regular people like myself couldn't get them. Instead of buying $120 in games, I walked away frustrated with both of them.
Quite frankly, the event was messed up hurting your reputation, which wasn't bad to me. Ball is in both your courts to make things right. I would still buy those games and fix this review...
