We were at the Burlington Mall for my sister and mother's appointments at the hair salon there and for my nieces to go to the toy store with the 'magic' door with the back room that they love to hang out and play in, and planned to have lunch at the cheesecake factory. Now the cheesecake factory is a chain so everyone knows the quality of the food. It's good and I never leave disappointed and as everyone knows the portions are large enough for 2 per main course so you could just share a dish.
I tried the impossible burger this time, because that is the dish I can decide how good the food is at lots of places cause lots of places don't make that well, although I've tasted several of the other dishes there and they are all great. I even ordered the sweet corn tamales cakes as an appetizer, cause I love that dish. Everything was great but the service could be better at that branch. Basically some of the party's dishes came out with a 5 minute time difference making half the party have to wait to eat their food till everyone got their dishes and that is a big mistake at any restaurant... Even bad ones. Also I had to ask for refills of the sodas every time because our server wouldn't notice them. When the food was served I saw a small hair on the salad of one of our party members but didn't say anything because if anyone mentioned it I think the appetite of everyone at the table would be ruined. I quickly removed it before she noticed anything. Finally they were cleaning our plates to get is to finish fast while we were eating which I know restaurants do so they can quickly change tables and force parties to finish faster.. but the more this is forced in me, the more it annoys me.. and it sent asked if we wanted a box and we said no.. but then while we weren't looking, she took one of the appetizer dishes that I was saving to eat at the end and people in our party were trying to justify this saying that, well we told her we didn't want boxes.. but that doesn't mean we don't want the food left on our plates.
Also when we went to get cheese cake to go, they took forever to give me my order and I could see that half my order was ready for at least 10 minutes but they were so bad at their preparation of everything that I had to wait for them to finish the whole order and be annoyed the whole time watching 2 of the 3 cheesecake in my order wait while they were preparing 10 other orders.
The food at cheese cake factory is good, service at this branch is terrible.
Update 04/14/24:
When I meet my family at the Burlington Mall because it is between my sister's place and mine, we go there for a quick bite.. unfortunately it's never quick because they tend to be really slow and bad at their job. From the hostess to the servers. Occasionally you get a good server, but never a good hostess. So every tone we do meet here I remember how bad it is. The only redeeming thing is that the food is good other than that.....
Read moreHi,
I went with my husband and baby today to the cheesecake factory at Burlington mall in Massachusetts. We Made reservations for three with a stroller. Verbatim told them this "three with a stroller". When we got there the hostess sat us in a tight isle and we asked her literally four times if this is ok because we decided keep baby in stroller and to us it seemed tight!
She said "yes" four times. A different person shortly after came by and we told them that the person that sat us down said it was OK numerous times.
We also told this staff member that we had no problem moving , as long as we can keep baby in stroller (which numerous other tables we're doing). Ironically , We actually decided to go to this restaurant (and make reservations) because of its "family friendly nature".
Then when you think we can finally get some service and begin our dinner, someone ELSE (third person who actually was the person who i put our name in with and said "stroller" how ironic) came by and asked us if the stroller folded (what? What a strange question).
Anyways we reiterated calmly that we were sat here by their staff but again had no problem moving if we can keep the baby in the stoller somewhere else. Again, this is a very normal request (not our first time going out).
This staff member then asked if we can do a booster and asked us why we wanted to keep in stroller. (Very rude and intrusive question. How about none of your business). Meanwhile we have been at the table with no drinks, menus, or waiter for 15 min ( after waiting 30 min for our reservations ) Only to have three different people come to us and not accommodate, communicate appropriately and be disrespectful. We left immediately just fed up and hungry. We write this feedback so simply you train your staff to be better and have some common sense and decency. We don't want anything. We will never attend a cheesecake factory again and hope those individuals and that restaurant can do better for future parents that visit. Please train and...
Read moreI think I have PTSD from how awful our experience was. Hang tight.. it’s a real mess.
First of all, our waiter made it very apparent he didn’t care about being there or how our experience went. He seemed annoyed or inconvenienced that we were there at all. It was weird. Then we get bread, order drinks, and after a while order apps. The drinks never came. The apps finally came and were meh. After about 30 minutes or so, our drinks came and they were awful. Our bloody Mary’s had about a quarter inch of pepper at the bottom which made it barely drinkable, the waiter gave my friend the wrong drink, and the others were very very sweet and undrinkable. We also had to order gluten free bread for our friends kid and it took about 45 minutes to come out - he said he was “working on it” around the 25 minute mark. When it arrived, it was six gluten free burger buns laid out on a plate. It was confusing and unnecessary. She had one - she’s 4. When the food came out, no one was happy. The salads had brown slimy lettuce, my salad came with zero condiments (there should have been three for the salad) so it was just dry lettuce, our friend couldn’t even stomach his salad. The only one who finished their food was the 4 year old who had pasta with fettuccine sauce. I also ordered a simple margarita to wash down the bad taste and it was so sweet it burned and I couldn’t taste any alcohol. I didn’t know a bad margarita could be made. It was just a disaster. We felt like they were purposefully trying to ensure we had an awful time - and they were successful. It was shocking. It took over an hour and a half to get our food and I just wish we would have left the moment we sat down. So the food sucked, the service sucked, the wait sucked, the drinks sucked, and we had to get 4 drinks comped. They’re bleeding money with the way they’re running this place. Go elsewhere. This place should...
