Park is nice and low on bugs. Playground and rec areas are well taken care of. Lacking shelter on most of the property except near the lot.
Disc golf course layout is very good. Tee pads are too short and the baskets are outdated. Not enough trash cans. One temp toilet in the lot. Trash throughout the woods due to lack of cans and litterbugs.
The course favors nobody in terms of shot shapes, meaning it's a very good variety of shot types.Only a few stock-shot holes. As disc golf courses go it's got a lot of potential but needs to be updated. That said it plays like an advanced course that sparsely relies on luck, but instead talent and finesse. There are a few holes here that play like nothing else nearby. Very little OB and very hard to lose a disc.

Read moreA good place to play pickleball with plenty of open play.
PROS Great lighting for nighttime play. 6 permanent courts plus 2 portable nets available. Large group of folks, so lots of play available. Generally very welcoming people that practice good sportsmanship.
CONS The court surface is very worn and badly needs resurfacing; Burnsville is aware and plans to do this. No divider fences. Hopefully when they resurface they will add this? Sometimes you get the hardcore 5.0 (well, they think they're 5.0, but I don't think they're quite that good) group that monopolizes a court. Can be VERY busy in...

And a beautiful adult size basketball 1/2 court with three of the most expensive backboard and metal you've ever seen(no need for three baskets on a small Court when all the other basketball courts in Burnsville have old Rusty wonky shaky baskets and yucky cracked asphalt with no white lines) Hockey rink. soccer field, baseball diamond. Huge kids play set. Walking trails. Large parking lot. Disc throwing game is at the other end of the Park with a separate...
