Decided to go here because we wanted something new, as we were tired of going to the same Japanese restaurants. Found this place on Google maps, I did not read the reviews before going. So it was an amazing surprise. We went in, were immediately greeted and seated, waitress was extremely friendly, and offered great service. (Just a small word of advice, please, especially if people are new and you have an extensive menu, you may want to wait until each person has the menus closed in front of them before asking if they are ready to order, it took us time to go though, and decide, and we were asked a few times if we were ready and we we not. It is a newish resturant so I know sometimes it's hard to tell when people are ready to order.) The inside decor was really modern and unique, I liked that the menu showed pictures of the rolls. The food was delicious, beautifully presented. We got the sashimi tacos, and monkey brain as appetizers. The monkey brain, is the most beautifully crafted and delicious thing I have ever eaten, highly recommended. I also got the lion king roll, it was one of the baked rolls, the salmon was very tender and that was also very good. My friend had the dragon roll and she enjoyed that quite a bit as well. I believe the one of the chefs, or a manager came out and greeted us at one point, to ask how the food was. that was also a nice experience. Overall I think I've found my new favorite place.

This is a small place but has get staff and awesome food. This was our first visit but will not be our last. The food selection was great. The portion sizes were large. As five adults we were more that satisfied with a couple of appetizers, 1 special roll each and a few pieces of sushi and sashimi. The sashimi pieces were large and impressive. The sauce on the cherry blossom roll was sweet and negated the need for soy sauce. We were the only people eating in the restaurant but they had a steady stream of take out orders. They had background noise but it wasn't loud or obnoxious, which is so understated. I would recommend this to anyone looking for good sushi. For the record, we normally eat at Kyotos in Eagan. Kyoto's is all you can eat but I think this place has larger portions. In the end we didn't need multiple orders of items. We left full but not over stuffed. The price here a bit higher but I believe it is a good value. Take some friends to share the special rolls.

It was delicious. My favorite part about the meal was the sushi it was beautiful and tasted so good, they live up to that reputation of being called the #1 sushi place the cherry blossom was my favorite sushi. They have 3 Varieties of soy sauce which you don't see at most places. Regular, low sodium and there in house soy sauce which is really good. The supper was super good to I got shrimp yakisoba I have never had that before but I highly recommend it the shrimp paired well with the dish and tasted/smelled fresh and delicious. And the waitress/waiters even when they where short staffed and had two big parties they did a really good job of keeping up on the work load and worked great as a team 👏 we got some mochi ice cream to go which was interesting I wonder if it housemade as well it was supper delicious and they put it in a storage container with ice. This place has definitely moved to my number 1 place to go for sushi and I look foward to going again one day.

The first point I'd like to make; the atmosphere. The space that the restaurant is in was recently remodeled. The aesthetic of this restaurant is very modern and beautiful while also being casual enough for a lunch meeting or a casual date night location. They play music off of a single bluetooth speaker that's at the bar which I thought was kinda funny the first time I went there. Interestingly enough though, it seems to put out the perfect amount of sound for the whole restaurant. Never too loud, never too quiet.

The service. As many other people have said, the service here is phenomenal. I had only been here one time and I left a review on their Facebook page. When I returned for my second visit, the host and server (who is one of the owners) greeted me AND thanked me for the good review. Wow. Aside from that, they're quick to make sure that you have drink refills and that your table is cleared of any excess plates or garbage quickly. If you're coming here solo or with a few friends, sitting at the bar is a fun experience. You can watch the chef (who is one of the owners) make your sushi and its impressive to watch. Be sure to leave him a tip as his plating is always very nice, the cuts of fish are generous, and the sushi is always very well formed and presented.

Now, the food. Wow. This is hands down the best sushi I've had in the state. They have a wide assortment of rolls that should provide options to anyone no matter what kind of fish and garnishes you're looking for. Their nigiri is the best I've had anywhere. Thick cuts of fish, very nice rice that isnt too sticky and doesnt become a ball of starch and its always presented very nicely. I havent had any of their entrees or non-sushi items; however, if the quality of their sushi is any indication of the quality of their other options, I'm certain those are very good too!

I couldn't recommend this place enough! If you're looking for high quality sushi with great service, stop reading reviews and head to Kazoku. You'll be...

The waitress we had tonight was working the last time we were in. The First time she tried denying us a booth that was clearly open. I shrugged it off but saw her roll her eyes and give attitude when she said, “ fine you can have that booth” , again shrugging… Tonight she brought a tall drinking glass with hot water instead of a mug. Honest mistake. Made her aware so she doesn’t have someone burn their hand on her watch. That’s not the bad part, the part where she forgot to put in our order, and after 1/2 hour of waiting and seeing 5 people that came in after us get food, I asked if our food was coming out. She said oh yes, and I could tell she forgot to put order in and just didn’t want to admit her mistake. I asked another waitress if she could tell me the truth and they finally did. The manager came out and I told him what had happened and he was nice and was going to comp our meal 50%. Cool, mistakes are made I understand, but the attitude and horrible body language this girl was displaying, it was evident she didn’t care one bit. To top it off, she comes back out and confronts us about it and states all the complaints back and asks if their is anything else so she can serve us better in the future. Mind you this is in the most bratty, I’m above being criticized attitude. Well if she’s reading this, I’m sorry I was bringing some things to your attention so you could do just that, but you went to far and won’t have the chance. This just made my list of top places I will not be going back to. Guess the lesson is harsher than it needed to be. Second star is for the manager and...
