I love this store for the selection and how great it is to look through so many incredible fabrics, but every time I come in here, I can't help but feel I'm inconveniencing the staff and it's very off-putting.
I've been trying to teach myself to sew for a few years. It's nostalgic for me since it was something I was learning with my Grandma before she passed away. I'm always so excited and eager to learn when starting any new project. I come to the store in a pleasant mood and think "what's there to be cranky about in a place like this when everybody is here to shop for a neat project?" When I've previously asked the occasional question (and once made the mistake of asking if the store ever hosts any classes), I've always regretted it, and I leave feeling like I did something wrong by simply interacting with the staff. It makes me want to give this hobby up because of how unfriendly everyone has been and how difficult it is to learn without someone to teach.
Understand the need for the cutting system with staff measuring, however, the line is always long and when buying small things like satin ribbon trims, it's a bit ridiculous to not allow people to cut these things themselves. The 20 cents of ribbon isn't...
Read moreThis store has a lot of selection of Cotton fabrics but so sad that the service is horrible now (The one in Brooklyn Park is better than in here ) - have been there a couple times and loved this place but after a couple weeks ago, I don’t think I will go/buy from there again. Stopped there to get some fabrics and one of the staff screamed and yelled at me saying to put on my mask on my nose rudely (I had no intention for that but the mask was too lose and I was going to fix it but had to make sure that my hand was cleaned b4 touching it But she yelled b4 I had a chance to fix it). I was very shocked when she screamed at me for the first time and b4 I had a chance to fix it or even to say anything, she yelled at me again (totally 3x). When I was at the register, I found out that she ran the register. I was very, very sad And felt ashamed, too, since there were some people there and thought about it while one hour driving to go home. I just don’t understand until now, I did not work there or even work for her but why she treated a customer like that . If she’s responsibility for that, why not use polite way to remind customers...
Read moreThis was my first time in your location. I was so happy to find out your store carried real leather in your location. And I was excited to find out that you guys carry a white leather with gold trimming in it. I've never saw that before. Because my husband's family which is from Asia they make handbags by hand every day they were visiting and his brother who's been making handbags for years. said if I buy some leather he will teach me how to make a handbag while he was visiting. what I thought was leather and what your store sells associate told me was leather.I paid $154 for it. When I got home and my brother looked at it. he said this was not leather at all this was a fake leather and it was cheap fake faux leather . He explained to me real leather is very thin and only one color. He told me he would go back to the store with me the next day to exchange it. I had to pay per square foot and no one cut it was just wrapped in a row on a shelf.when I grabbed the receipt it says there's no refund. But you sold me pleather at the price of leather. I think this is so wrong. You told me...
