Heritage Nature Trail — Attraction in Cadillac

This is one of the most beautiful trails I have been to in Michigan. I hiked it at the beginning of April so there was still snow and no bugs. The trails were well marked, although I think the map is not quite the scale. After hiking out to the main loop, you will have the beautiful scenery of small ponds, streams, and marshes on both sides of you for the entirety of the loop. Confused that anyone could give this place less than a 5! My husband and I visited here for the first time today and absolutely loved it - we spent 2.5 hours walking around and reading and watching the animals. It was well kept trail with diverse and abundant wildlife! We saw a few harmless snakes, countless muskrats, several turtles, two beautiful sandhill cranes, ducks, Herron, and signs of beaver...
