Read moreUpdate November 2021: Park had pretty much reopened, but there are some changes. Two bridges need repair, so the trail that connects the two is closed. Part of the tennis courts is converted to basketball courts.
Update September 2020: Due to Covid restrictions, the parking lots have been closed off. I am not sure if the rest of the park is opened, but I do see people walking their dogs on the trails from time to time.
Original review is below. Nice, open community park with many features. Park has an asphalt walking trail around it that branches off into separate paths. These trails will lead you to a couple of playgrounds, fish pond, BBQ areas, baseball fields, tennis courts, dog park, creek, and large open grass fields. Part of the trail will break off and extend into another park across the street where the creek continues and people can play frisbee golf too. There are public bathrooms, drinking faucets, and trash bins, but don't expect them to be perfect. Overall, perfect for families and friends to hang out and people who exercise and walk their dogs.
Other things of note. There are 3 parking lots so there are plenty of spaces. Entrances are located at the south, southeast corner, and northeast corner. Areas by the pond and creek are usually occupied by ducks, so expect a lot of poop everywhere. Fishing is allowed at the pond, but it's mainly for kids even though adults are usually there instead. Creek is accessible, but off limits. The west side is where the dog park is, and that's where most of the dogs congregate. I haven't seen any aggressive dogs yet, but there are a few you'll see that aren't trained well. With people, it's a mixture of different races and ethnicities. Everyone is mostly respectable and friendly too. Center of the park has a recreation building where events and activities are...
Read moreThe duck pond is a great place to enjoy some ducks. I take an elderly man with me to walk the easy paved trail and we enjoy the scenery he loves the ducks they have a dog park there although haven't used it yet I will be soon. The playground for kids is clean and taken care of. Restrooms are clean and stocked with toilet paper. Park is clean in general. What I didn't like about it was a homeless person sleeping under and inside the slide structure about 11:00 in the morning. I'd think park maintained would of moved him along. I don't have a problem with homeless persay but I don't think they belong where children play. So some kids weren't able to play due to this person covered up in blankets and grumping out loud about being disturbed. The ball field is nice and good place to catch a local team playing .tennis courts are clean and available has lights for night playing .the park does have gates they lock at 10;00 p.m. though too. Overall a nice place to visit with many options of things to do. Clean and maintained every time...
