My daughters and I felt completely out of place here due to being followed closely by staff members, and being watched in an uncomfortable manner by them as well. I approached the desk at some point to gather some information on how to become a vendor the gentleman there saw us, went past us 3 times, yet chose to ignore us for a good 15 min until finally after my girls rang the bell a couple times he came walking past us at that point I signaled him and he said "oh I'm sorry are you needing some help?" He directed me to the front desk because he had "no information". The only person that had good customer service there was the lady at the front desk who gave me some information, was sweet, and had a kind smile. Other two ladies there next to her continued to send uncomfortable glances our way, one of them was the one that followed us through the entire store. My whole purpose for being there was to see if I would consider this place to bring my business to it. Yes, we're not Caucasian, but don't assume just by our appearance. I recently had an amazing day at The Mill On Etowah! This place is a hidden gem for anyone looking for a fun outing or unique treasures. We started our adventure at the frik and frak market, where we found some incredible local goods, and then explored the Cotton Mill Exchange antique store filled with hidden gems.
For lunch, we dined at Campania, and the food was absolutely delicious! There are so many great restaurant options to check out, including Community Burger, Magnolia Villa, Giggle Monsters Donuts, and Nava. I can't wait to try the new spots coming soon, like Rock and Roll Sushi and Barrel Downs Tavern!
After our meal, we enjoyed drinks at Suds and Bottles and had a relaxing time at the Canton Cigar Company. The Mill also hosts fantastic events like Denim Fest and football games on the green, making it a lively place to visit.
Overall, I highly recommend The Mill On Etowah for a fun day out, great food, and unique shopping experiences. I can't wait to return and...
Read moreVery well done restoration of a 120 year old mill. The largest part of the Mill is fashioned after an antique shopping mall comprised of many individually owned booths. However unlike every antique mall I have ever been in, this one has been exceptionally well planned and executed. It is spacious, well lit and not cluttered with a bunch of totally worthless nic-nacs. No dark corners or moldy smells here. Most of the merchandise appeared to be new or antique replicas. The star of the show is the original heart pine plank flooring which was sanded and finished to appear as it was laid over 100 years ago. It's easy to imagine the generations of workers that must have spent their lives working here. This is relatively new addition to the Canton scene and clearly it is a work in progress but I predict that it will soon become one of Canton's premier destination spots. So far I am really impressed. ...
