Lakes park is the best family park in Fort myers florida in my opinion, it has so much you can do with your kids of any age, bring your baby and your stroller and go for a beautiful walk for a mile or 3 while experiencing the beautiful views of the water, sight seeing birds, enjoying the children's garden with beautiful flowers and plants, or bring your toddlers to enjoy the 2 water fountain parks they have (so much fun) after they get done there take them over to the toddler playground full of all kinds of swings, slides, ropes and mazes. Then there is the HUGE PLAYGROUND FOR older kids but toddlers are welcome just stay by their side for safety. You can rent 2 people, 4 people or 6 people peddle bikes, which are super fun, or rent a single or a double bike which are all reasonably priced by the hour. If you prefer to be on the water go ahead and rent a paddle boat, they are clean and nice. You get hungry? Stop at the stand and grab some lunch and drinks they have all kinds of stuff, ...btw...(the kids train ride is closed for a year) but once open is so fun for the kids, speaking of trains there is also a train museum there that's fun to explore, or you can bring a chair and set up next to the water with a book and get a tan. Looking to throw a birthday party or any celebration they have many pevillions throughout the park you can rent to have a party, they got grills, you can bring music and DECORATIONS and food and whatever else but make sure to book. 3 months in advance because when I tried they had them rented out around the time of my sons birthday. Anyway hope you get the point this park has so much to do, also bring your own bike or rollerblades to take a cruise, well enough said, go check out this park, I highly...

Read moreWhat a great park! We visited during Christmas week and this place had a little bit of everything for everyone in our group of 4 adults and 4 children. You may rent a surrey (the biggest one was $30 for an hour), bike, pedal boat, kayak, or even an electric boat. There is a splash pad that was not on when we arrived (around 11 am.) but we saw it on later when we were leaving. Plenty of benches throughout the park, plenty of picture opportunities. There were bounce houses for the kids at $10 per kid. There is a food court, however, it had long wait. We waited over 30 minutes for some hot dogs, fries, and chicken fingers but we saw a baby alligator in the pond while we waited! Our favorite part was the train experience! A large kids playground themed for trains, a locomotive decorated for Christmas, and a ride on train for all of us to enjoy. The train tickets were $6 per adult and the kids up to 6 y.o. were free. The ride was about 15 minutes, and we enjoyed every minute of it. Miniature towns, bridges, creeks, and to top it Christmas decoration! A wonderful experience and we came back in the evening to take the ride again for the Christmas lights experience. To our dismay the wait line was so long we couldn't even see the end of it. I can speculate it would have been between 2 to 3 hours wait to get on the train, so we gave up. I'm sure it would have been awesome but not worth the wait for 15-minute ride. Highly recommend this park to anyone in the area, especially if...
