I usually do not leave any reviews unless theyre excellent or in this case, very negative. I love Summer Moon and always enjoy their coffee but yesterday July 12th I decided to go with my partner to grab a quick coffee. I verified they were still open, we got there at 6:42pm and we saw online they closed at 7pm so we figured it wouldn't be a problem. When we entered there was a gentleman wiping the glass door directly right next to us as we entered, didn't greet us, didnt say a word; after we stood by the register awkwardly for like 40 seconds(we made eye contact with him and not even like that he addressed us or greeted us) he then decided to put the paper towel down and walk towards the register, still without saying a word and with a noticeable attitude, making us feel very uncomfortable with being there. He then proceeded to take our order which wasnt even complicated; he was passive aggressive, you can tell he was very annoyed, not a single welcoming energy was felt by him. His other coworker then walked there and laughed at some point and we werent sure if he was complaining or saying something about us (we can't confirm if thats why she laughed since we didnt have a direct view to where he walked but due to the way we were treated by him it made us question). While we understand it might not be ideal to show up somewhat near closing, getting there a little over 15 minutes prior to closing to order quick coffee drinks that took less than 3 minutes to make shouldn't be the reason why we are treated so poorly to the point where we contemplated leaving. Hopefully moving forward they have workers that understand that if they close at 7pm, they are expected to serve their clients up to that time without giving such an attitude and negative energy towards the customer, if we would have gotten there 2-3 minutes prior to closing I could understand a bit more and not even. You close at 7pm? You should...
Read moreI ordered online for pick up both trips. Both times I ordered myself a Summer Moon latte. Pretty simple. My first visit I was given a very mediocre latte; mild espresso flavor & milk that was like skim. It was my first visit so I was like "ok? Moon milk is watery milk?". I was disappointed but thought maybe they messed up. So, on my 2nd trip, I ordered it again bc I had to know: did they mess up my latte or is this "moon milk" something special. Well, I was in for a REAL shock. My husband brought me my drink to the car & I was delivered THE SWEETEST latte I'VE EVER HAD. I really couldn't believe. My husband, an espresso drinker, took a sip & no lie, he went to spit it out. THAT'S HOW SWEET IT WAS. It was very thick too. Not an issue. It was the OVERLOAD of sugar. I was sooooo disappointed. I would rather of had another watery latte. Was it gross? No. It was just so, so, so sweet. Like, it needs a real warning lable. NOW I see why you can adjust the amount of sugar, I mean moon, milk you can get. 🤢
I drank it. I needed caffeine bc I had a mild headache & wanted energy for our family day. I washed my mouth out & hoped I didn't get sick.
Well... I just thought it was worth adding that I did get sick. That night I started with a horrible sore throat & woke up sick the next day. To be clear, I'm not saying Summer Moon got me sick. I'm not stupid lol I'm saying I really do think all that sugar (I'm guessing 60-100 grams) really lowered my immunity.
So, proceed with caution. My husband's shaker espresso was decent. It has only some moon milk. The lemon moon drop was good (kids liked it).
I can only give 2 stars because that latte was shocking. I have had many lattes, sweet & not, THAT...
Read moreI can't say this place is bad, but the coffee is incredibly bitter. I travel for work and like to support small businesses while doing so, so I stumbled upon this place. The menu makes no sense to me, but the cashier was nice enough to explain. So I learned the only flavors they have are matcha, lavender (aka blue?) and caramel (aka moon) the house foam they make. I ordered my drink with coconut milk, but it was incredibly dark and didn't look like it had any foam so I was confused as to why I was asked how much I wanted as my drink didn't come with any. It's almost as if this place is a boba bar but with inaccurately described/explained foam instead of the sweet percentage you normally choose from. I was told the coconut milk made the coffee darker (??) and even they I repeated it was my first time, I'm not understanding, I got the feeling they thought I was weird for not understanding their cryptic menu. At no point did anyone say "hey just try and if you don't like it we'll make something else" so sadly for me I won't be returning for another $8 coffee. On the plus side the pastries looked super yum, huge enough to share and enough sugar to make you forget about the taste of the roast. I wish the cashier maybe would have had a safer first drink suggestion bc then maybe I may have wanted to come back, but the blue moon is not it. (Unable to...
