I’ve been coming to Bahama Breeze for many years and have always had consistently good service—until tonight. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing and uncomfortable due to the behavior of the server, Andrew K.
From the start, Andrew seemed disengaged. He didn’t set out utensils or napkins, and he forgot to bring the second beverage I ordered. I had to ask other servers just to get the basics. Feeling tired and not really enjoying the experience, I asked one of the other staff for a to-go box and my check. When Andrew returned, I politely asked if I could pay at the mini kiosk at the table, to which he said “sure,” but then followed it with a bizarre and off-putting comment: “You’re not planning to dine and dash, are you?” It felt like a very strange and micro-aggressive accusation.
To make things more uncomfortable, he stood there watching me as I prepared to pay. When I asked why he was hovering, he claimed that “some people don’t know how to use the kiosk,” to which I replied that I did.
As for the food—I ordered the mahi tacos and took a bite - they were dry, lacked seasoning, and the shells were so hard they were difficult to eat. There was a side of rice and beans. I informed Andrew of my tomato allergy - there were tomato’s in the rice. Definitely not the quality I’ve come to expect from this location. I ended up not taking the food.
I paid the $27+ for the meal but left no tip due to the poor service, and I had been there less than 30 minutes. As I was walking out, Andrew stormed out after me and sarcastically yelled, “Have a nice day, ma’am!” in a tone that was clearly aggressive and inappropriate, likely because he saw no tip.
This kind of behavior has no place in customer service and frankly reflects very poorly on the restaurant. I’ve always enjoyed Bahama Breeze, but this experience makes me seriously reconsider returning. Andrew K’s attitude and unprofessional conduct are bad for business. Management should take this seriously.
Pro: I was given a refund - so thank you to the manager that was on duty, and hopefully this gets handled once you discuss this behavior with the general manager. It was very scary being followed and yelled...
Read moreBahama Breeze Ft Myers 5-25-25 Stopped by for my dad’s birthday as he loves to hear Steel Drums playing in the background while eating dinner. We made sure they were playing that day, we showed up around 4 when Dave Lapio started smacking the Steel Drums. It was so nice to hear the Steel Drums while dinning there. They were not that busy, so we were seated right away on the outside patio where the stage was. Our waiter Andy was on point taking our drink orders and answering any question we had about the menu. For an appetizer I ordered the Crab and Three Cheese Dip, and my wife ordered a side Salad. For the main dish I ordered the Seafood Paella which consisted of Scallops, Shrimp, Mussels, Chicken, Chorizo Sausage with Yellow Rice. My wife ordered the Grilled Salmon with Yellow Rice and Broccoli. My dad ordered the Classic Eight Chicken Wings and Fries with sweet BBQ sauce. Our Crab Dip appetizer and Salad was delivered fast. The Crab Dip was so good and hot, it was amazing. The Salad looked fresh and was good. Our main orders came out shortly afterwards. All our food looked so good almost to pretty to eat. I started in on my Seafood Paella and I just loved this dish. Everything was done perfect everything was hot everything was so flavorful. My plate was filled and when I was done eating, I was full. My wife’s Salmond was very good done perfect just the way she likes it and her Broccoli tasted so fresh. My dad stated his Wings were very good and was the Fries. We had to get a doggy box as my wife and dad could not eat all that was on their plates. I did manage to finish my plate but to tell you the truth I was stuffed. They brought out a large piece of Key Lime Pie for my dad as we were celebrating his 93rd birthday there. He loved the Key Lime Pie and stated it was close to Key West Key Lime as you can get. I must give Bahama Breeze 5 out of 5 stars for the great food great service by Andy who checked on us a bunch of times the Steel Drum Playing by Dave and for the great vibe of this place. It was a true experience for us all that we loved and will be back, you can bet on that. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Follow Me On Fb For More Reviews and...
Read moreWe just love this place and are impressed by the very high quality of food and service considering that it's a chain and the place serves a large number of people with a menu of huge variety. First, the service is excellent and very friendly - no matter who you may encounter anywhere in the place - the staff really seems genuinely happy to be there, so kudos to them and the management. Second, the food is remarkably fresh tasting and flavorful no matter what you get. The place was crowded when we arrived and we were lucky enough to get seats at the bar while waiting for a table. The wait was going to be long for an outside table so we had a few drinks and apps at the bar - the bartender was SO friendly and attentive to everyone, very impressive. The coconut shrimp was awesome and the salsa & chips were amazingly flavorful and fresh. We got a table by the fire pit which was very nice. Our server was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the entire menu. We each got soup to start and they were great. For dinner the lemongrass bowl was very good if slightly bland...and my husband loved the fish tacos. My only note of caution for some would be that the inside was way too noisy and too many little kids running around for our preference - but the outside was more adults and not so frenetic. That said, if you're a family with kids you'll love the inside - and they truly do seem to have something to appeal to everyone - and they somehow pull it off with throngs of people delivering excellent food and service. Kudos to them. This isnt our first visit and each visit over several years has been just as consistently good. Not a super fancy place but very nice...i highly recommend. Also there was low key live music playing outside the Saturday night that we were there.. very nice vibe out there. Wish we had a Bahama Breeze...
