Went there tonight with about 14 people, some of which we do not know. Some were at the bar and the rest were at two separate tables. It was so loud that you could barely hear the person sitting beside you, much less the person on the other side of the table. To be honest, I'm not much of a microbrew person but the people that were really didn't care for the beers. I was going to get a glass of wine but two people in the group had wine and said it wasn't drinkable. One of them sent her wine back because it was not good. I had the shrimp pita and not only was the pita fried but the shrimp had so much breading on it that you couldn't taste the shrimp. My husband had the brot and said it was pretty good. But the kicker is when we got our check we got charged for 3 beers when we only had two. I pointed this out to the server, and she said that the couple that was sitting beside us wasn't charged for one of their beers (and it was the peanut butter beer that she barely drank because she didn't like it) so since they had already paid they owed us $3.50. WHAT??? So, if they had left we were supposed to chase them down? What if it was a stranger are we just supposed to eat the cost of their drinks? I've been a server and one NEVER tells the customer that we need to pay for something we didn't order and another person has to reimburse us. We will never go back!
MP replied to my review. They had many facts incorrect including the size of my party (we were 4 people, 2 different checks) and that we were playing musical chairs. To my knowledge, only 2 people moved to eat at the bar b/c there was not enough room at the table to eat. There was no music that night; they claimed that was one of the reasons it was noisy. We expect it to be noisy in a bar but not at the level that you cannot hear the person sitting across from you. But the arrogance of them saying that they don't want our group back (most of whom we didn't know and were sitting at a different table) is b/c we had a problem with being charged for another couples' beer. Don't worry. We will NEVER come back. There are too many good microbrews that appreciate the business. We will spread the word that MP does not have any issue with charging you with things that you did...
Read moreThis by far was one of the most unfriendly and down right rudest breweries I have ever been into. It started when we walked in the door and were met by a rude hostess who I found out later was a Manager. I told her we were there to hear the music and have not ever been before so how do things work. She said they are playing out back we do not serve our food out there if ypu want a beer you have to come inside to bar to order.i asked what else beside beer you have because I can't have the gluten. She said we have a cider but I can not serve it to you for drinking outside of the beer. She was as cold as could be with an attitude. I got a water and we went outside we walked right past an outdoor sitting area that you could eat and drink something other than beer and still here the music. We were not offered or told anything about that area just sent us out the door to the back lot. After a bit of time I went inside with my husband and was waiting for him to use the restroom within seconds the same lady was at me saying you can't just stand there by the table and to move on. At this point I asked for her name and she said have a good day I then asked for the Manager she said that is me and we could leave now. I then went back and the owner proceeds to tell me about the rules of covid and what they have been through as a business never listening to anything I was saying about the treatment from her employee. She was just as rude I am not one of those people she talked about putting up with during covid and I didn't appreciate her grouping everyone together that actually had a valid complaint. Oh and the best part of this review is that said owner and her friend were drinking a cider in the very place she said was not allowed because she could lose her license. When asked what she was drinking she hesitated and said it's a seltzer. Funny how I as a paying customer who can't have gluten was not told that was an option. I have been to many breweries and have never been treated this poorly. Do yourself a favor and drive...
Read moreI’m honestly not even sure how to start this review as I am utterly flabbergasted by how we were talked to by the hostess/waitress who seated us. I know that things are really weird right now with the alcohol/food rules due to COVID 19. Maybe she had been getting questions and attitude all day about the new regulations, I don’t know. But honestly I will not be going back to Molly Pitcher due to how absolutely rude this hostess was. I was in a group of 3, we came in and were told to sit at a table that hadn’t even been wiped down yet (no biggie but obviously there wasn’t good communication between staff if they’re seating people at tables that aren’t wiped down. There was only one other group in the restaurant and lots of open tables.) Anyway, my friends and I were trying to figure out what the rules about food were since none of us were really hungry and this hostess basically berated us for two minutes about the regulations. We were all kind of shocked into silence by the way she was talking to us and my friend made somewhat of a shocked face and the hostess said “you can drop the attitude now.” The sad thing is we were truly just asking questions and she was the one with the attitude. Maybe she doesn’t represent Molly Pitcher as a whole but the fact that someone works there who thinks it’s okay to berate customers for absolutely no reason makes me not want to go back there. Again maybe she was just having a bad day but there was no reason to take it out on us. We walked out and I will definitely not be back unless I hear that hostess is no longer working there. My friends and I still can’t believe that she was so rude to us. If she had just kindly explained the rules we would have happily gotten our food and drinks...
