La Cueva 6 - Allen Theatres — Attraction in Carlsbad

I’m usually not the type to leave a bad review and I’ve very rarely had a bad experience at this theater. We went as a group in Theater 5 and all of us were sweating from how hot it was. We let them know up front that it was hot and they said that they would check on it. After about another 30 went by and no change another one of our group went to go ask what was going on and was told that the air conditioning has been out all day.

Yes we could have left and come back another night but I purchased the tickets online and when we went up to the counter to get them they didn’t give us any kind of heads up. I also realize that most of the employees are young and this is a manager problem but they aren’t even warning people?? I don’t expect to pay for tickets and food and drinks and be told 1/2 way through the movie that we’ll just have to be miserable. Besides that I think this is a great place but this was by far the worst experience...

I just walked out of the theater because not only was the move bad, but there were several people who didn’t put their phones on vibrate, so constant phone calls and text notifications going on during the movie. Also there was a guy in front of us who was vaping and blowing smoke everywhere. The theater was also very dirty. With popcorn and trash everywhere and even a tipped over trash can in the walk way going to the theater. Just absolutely terrible experience. I don’t recommend anyone going to the Carlsbad movie theater, do yourself a favor and stay away. My good friend even had someone put trash left on his truck when we left. I know for certain I’ll never come to this...

Me and my daughters go to the movies alot at La Cueva 6. But we only got to La Cueva 6 because it's the only movie theature in town honestly. All of the screens have ripps in them and it really screws up the experience of watching the movie on the big screen. They just updated the theater and it's already trashed. The seats are torn up and worn out already which makes it uncomfortable to sit and watch a movie. But I will say that all of the kids thay work there are always really nice 🤷‍♂️. The employees are most definitely the only really good part of the experience of going to La Cueva 6. If we had another movie theater in town then I definitely wouldn't go...
