We stopped to get some ice cream after getting trapped in Carlsbad by a crazy dust storm. We were excited to find a place nearby with such rave reviews. I ordered a passion fruit snow ball with vanilla ice cream and I ended up tossing it out. I was expecting a fruity tart passion fruit flavored syrup like Hawaiian Lilikoi, but it was a fake fruit punch tasting snow cone with a very strange icy creamy center, not ice cream. Try the Royal's. Snowballs (like from New Orleans - Shaved Ice with syrups) with things like Ice Cream and/or Cheesecakes. Very creative creations, so many to choose from. We are visiting from out of town and were delighted to find this place! Super nice and helpful staff and owner. We saw many others getting Boba Tea from here as well. If those aren't your thing they have Milkshakes, Sundaes, etc. If you have a group of people who all want something a little different this is defiantly the place to visit. Fun place to bring the family for a break from the heat. Great customer service and a lot of options. From energy drinks, to coffee, to snowcones and ice cream. My only complaint is they aren't open enough. Very limited hours. Air conditioning felt great, location is inside the Carlsbad mall.
