Anytime Fitness — Local services in Carlsbad

I was looking for a fitness center to attend and get into better shape. I visited this business website, filled out the application for a 7 day free trial membership. I received an email containing my free 7 day trial membership. Upon calling to find out when I could come by, get my access card as well as tour the facility. I was informed by Annette (co owner) That because I do not have a New Mexico ID. To prove residency. I did NOT qualify for the free trial membership. This is NOT stated as a requirement on the website. I could there for come by and purchase a 1 day membership for $ 10.00 to tryout her facility. The rational behind this being a resident is too many non residents that are in the area working on a temporary bases(few's weeks to a few month) fail to purchase a membership after using her facility for 7 days. Annette was kind enough to inform me she has 700 members currently. Sorry to say her above stated reasons and rational means I will NOT become her 701 member. Great gym equipment, terrible manager named Amanda. Don't join this gym if your a human the blonde manager Amanda is perfect if you mess up one time she will get real disrespectful with you and she doesn't believe in "humans makes mistakes" or "People getting behind and trying to make things right" You have to be perfect and she's not friendly. If you get behind on a payment/payments and go back to make it right because your a good human she will still not let you join the gym again. I love this gym, it has everything you need. The gym manager is incredibly sweet, down to earth, and hard working. Instead of chilling in her office all day, you'll see her out n about attending to gym patrons needs or cleaning equipment.

The gym is small with a sizable crowd in attendance at all times but doesn't feel crowded. The gym crowd consists mostly of serious fitness heads. Patrons are overall respectful but it does have a couple juice heads who annoyingly throw the weights on the floor. 🙄 The facility and bathrooms are clean.

The day pass is only $10 and is good for 24 hours which is a good deal! That's less than alot of fast food combo...
