My husband went into this location today, unaware that it's not an actual Verizon store. After waiting almost 30 minutes the lady working there finally acknowledged his presence and asked if he had a question. My husband explained to her that his new Galaxy phone wouldn't charge and was telling him that the phone had detected moisture in the charging port. She told my husband to put his phone in rice. My husband explained to her that he's working over 500 miles from home and needs his phone and that there's no way there was moisture in the charging port as it had never even been around liquids let alone gotten wet. She insisted that it didn't matter and he still needed to put it in rice. She didn't even want to look at the phone. She should have told him to call Verizon tech support since the phone hadn't gotten wet. When my husband called me, I told him to go to walmart and get a wireless charger as the issue is the charging port. We called Verizon and his replacement phone is on the way. I knew this was an issue with some Samsung phones because myself and one of my kids have had our phones replaced this year due to the same issue and tech support had advised me they've been seeing a lot of charging port issues this year. I really wish whoever my husband talked to just told him she didn't know what was wrong instead of assuming and...
Read moreLong story short I ordered an upgrade online for an I Phone 16 Pro Max which was ready for pickup later that afternoon. No problem there. I went that same evening to pick up the new phone. Again no issue with that. The sales guy went to the back, got the new phone, handed it to me and said “that’s it.” He more less said they aren’t willing to move the saved information off of the old phone to the new one. Didn’t offer to activate it. Didn’t want to hear about buying a screen protector, a case for it, or a charger. Just handed me the phone and that was it. What does that say about their customer service? So I went to Vorizon Cellular Sales on the north side of Carlsbad and they were happy to activate it, moved over the information, and I bought the accessories for it there. I’ll never go back to Russell...
Read moreWent in because my cell phone had locked up and was asking for a password, which I did not set one up. I used pattern like normal to set my phone up. I was the only customer in the store. The SS employee was eager to help but was lost and asked the long term employee who was playing on his phone for help. He didn't even look up but stated "well if you don't know your password which you had to have one to set it up then all you have is a high dollar paper weight." The SSE suggested to reboot phone and start from scratch. Well I called there IT and he got my phone unlocked and stated I was correct and you don't need a password as I use the pattern. All in all the long term employee I found rude and unwilling to help. All he wanted to do is play on phone. Customer service should be...
