There were about 4 staff members standing around by the entrance and they don’t greet you and ignored us so I decided to walk up to the bar and a waiter told us we could sit wherever. The bartender who was also there (who ended up being the person to make our drinks which I will get into later) gave us a dirty look kinda sized us up but I ignored that initially. She was tall skinny wore glasses blond hair in a ponytail. Her name was Christine I believe) Ok now we’re sitting waiting for someone to take our order and it took way longer than it should have for our waiter to come to our table. The place wasn’t busy and as I stated earlier the staff were just standing around talking. There were about 2 tables plus ours to tend to. They only dispersed when we sat down at the table we selected. Ok moving forward we ordered two drinks mine was ok but my mom’s was very watered down. We told our waiter and watched her bring it to Christine and you could see how she responded which was according to our waiter “the alcohol was mixed up in the drink” you could tell all the way from our table the rudeness and crappy demeanor this bartender had. They didn’t even offer to fix the drink they gave it right back. Anyway as for the food it was really good but our waiter didn’t even serve us water nor did she come check on us. It sucks because the place is beautiful and this was our initial meal after landing and getting to the hotel. I read some reviews that were similar so I know...

I was visiting a hotel guest and we were sitting outside. It began to rain heavily so the guest said let's seat here in the meantime. Immediately after an employee came to us to let us know that we needed to move because those chairs were for people have lunch at the restaurant. Being a hotelier for 30 years, I can complexly understand what he was said, however, his approach was completely unprofessional and if I have to evaluate his customer service and engagement I will rate him with a zero. He got upset when the guest told him, "don't you see that is raining and that everyone moved inside in the meantime?" he was uncomfortable with the guest reply and his reacting was like he as talking to a person in the streets.

Then I saw and employee kicking a cat with his leg and he was laughing as it as a joke what he was doing. That is animal abuse. I remember that I got very upset because of his actions and I looked at him and said what are you doing? I just can't believe what you have just done, and what he did is that he left and went back of the house. As a retired hotelier my question is where were the managers? I know the brand very well as I worked for the Ritz Carlton San Juan for 20 of my 30 years in the industry and Marriot and Ritz are sister brands and the company provide training to its employee for all these matters. The employees behaviors and customer servicer were completely...

Rolled up from the street had parking garage, not free. No validation regardless of spend, I was irritated with that. Drop $200 for dinner and pay for parking, smh... located right on the beach the atmosphere is amazing very laid back chill the tables were closed until 6 we arrived 4:30 so we had a love seat with table and it was awesome. We both ordered the red snapper and the flavor was mediocre the only flavor to it was from the red sauce over the top and it just wasn't enough to complete the pallet. I like snapper but it's better fried than grilled. There was one other dish that attracted me but I was sold on the snapper as the server indicated that most patrons adorn the sauce, again good just not enough for providing flavor to the fish. I would go back to try another. Probably could have sent it back, but we were hungry as we went to the first beach front restaurant I found on my maps, coming from SJU. Grreat ambiance and feel locals playing music that was better than the hotel music. Server was slow not very personable. She answered my questions and was knowledgeable of the menu but unenthusiastic and took a long time for water and to serve us. They did not appear to be busy enough to understand why. I'm not trying to be difficult but if I'm drinking water please make sure we have...

Three strikes and you’re out. The restaurant is the biggest disappointment at this property. 1 - Upon arrival, we tried to get a drink while waiting for our room. One of the servers told us to sit at a table and a server would be with us. We waited over 10 mins then asked again and was told someone would be by. We asked for a server three times in a 30-min period before being able to place a drink order. 2 - We tried lunch here. Ordered the chicken burger which was a grilled chicken breast sandwich. There was only one other couple sitting at a table and it still took at least 45 minutes for the food to come out. The chicken was cold and clearly not freshly cooked. I would have excused the 45-min wait if the food was at least hot...maybe even warm but it was cold and old. 3 - Sitting by the pool, we ordered nachos. Well first we had to ask if a server was working and they said they start at 11am. It was 11:10am. This time it only took about 15 minutes for the food to come out. BUT it was nacho chips with cheez whiz type cheese and squeeze guacamole and a scattering of a white substance similar to sour cream but it didn’t taste like sour cream. I’m not sure I would say it was even a step above Taco Bell’s nachos. The hotel is great. The staff is friendly and accommodating. But the food is horrible.

Truly amazing sunset dinner experience for my 40th birthday while on vacation in PR. We booked this last minute when our other restaurant cancelled on us and were so happy we did! Beautiful white tablecloth tables set on a beachside patio with beautiful palms and easy walk out to the beach. The kids enjoyed the hammocks while we waited for food. Juan was an excellent and attentive server. Food was incredible. We had a salad and the snapper tenders for an appetizer and couldn’t finish it all. I had the sea bass with sweet potato mash and veggies and my wife had the filet. Both prepared perfectly. Kids had a hamburger and cheese pizza and rated them highly (I tried the burger too - delicious). Best part were the frozen mango drinks for the kids - so good my wife got one and I got one with a shot of dark rum! Also had a mojito. We’ve traveled to 20+ countries and dined in many locales and this is absolutely one of our top 5. Easy parking at the Marriott and a nice bar on one side for open seating or make a reservation for a table. Perfect for a relaxing dinner with family or friends in a beautiful setting.

This restaurant is part of the Marriot Hotel and you have to park in their parking garage (and pay for it), which was my only disappointment, as I didn't realize it wasn't a local restaurant. There is also a small casino right after you enter the Marriot to get to the restaurant. I went mid-afternoon and the restaurant had just a few customers, so yes, the waitstaff was available. My waiter also spoke fluent English which we didn't find everywhere in Puerto Rico. I ordered a quesadilla with chicken and it was delicious--tasty, crispy outside and the ingredients were so good!! The view was gorgeous! Walked along the beach collecting a couple of shells and walked in the water before I sat at the restaurant. What could be better? The public (unguarded) beachfront there also rents chairs and umbrellas (I believe) and definitely rents jet skis. Just a nice overall experience.
