The ArtsCenter — Attraction in Carrboro

My child attended one summer camp there, did not like it and felt boring. The materials they used were pretty simple. Activities were not attractive. The camp my child attended was just like child caring service. Not entertaining at all.

They do not have appealing policy to accommodate the need of the family. Their cancellation policy is not flexible at all. I was trying to cancel it in advance. I contacted the center to request the cancellation as soon as I can, tried to reach them by phone several time but no one was there to answer it. I left a message but no one returned my call. I had to contact the youth director by email but she is inconsiderate of my family's situation and refused to do the cancellation. I am very dissatisfied with...

I took a pottery class here last year and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. The class felt unorganized—the main instructor was mostly absent, only briefly checking in, and the session was instead led by two other individuals who seemed to be improvising as they went. That said, the two women who did lead the class were very kind and helpful.

The biggest issue came afterward: I returned to the center four separate times over the course of three months trying to pick up my finished piece, but it was never located. It was also difficult to get assistance during these visits, and when I reached out to the original instructor by email, I never received a reply.

Based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend taking pottery...

I've had a great experience with the photography program at the ArtsCenter in the last year. I've participated in two classes (Getting to Manual and Lightroom) led by Heather Craig and a critique session led by Heather and Barbara Tyroler. Heather is a wonderful teacher - very knowledgeable, helpful and supporting. Heather and Barbara both gave great feedback on some of my work during the critique session, helping we see where I need to further develop my skills. The ArtsCenter is a great facility and is well equipped for this kind of instruction. I'll be going back for another class later this year. 100%...
